Re: The Starting Pitching Trade Candidates

Praying Eloy can be like Marte offensively. Just hit the horsefeathers out of the ball to make up for the lack of walks.

https://twitter.com/MDGonzales/status/868138074424913921 I know he got paid, but I still feel so bad he's in that horsefeathers. Eh, after those dirty slides this year I don't feel bad at all for him. He took the most money, he knew their whole deal/culture there and made his own bed and had been a...

Get Cahill back. Slightly damaged goods, maybe we get a discount. Tons of strikeouts and grounders. Plenty versatile.

Shoulder injury at the moment.

Hence the slightly damaged goods. But they found no structural damage. I would still take the shot.

Oscar avoiding contact 74% strikes, 5:0 in the first 2 innings Not really avoiding with 4 hits in those two innings, no? Martinez is 2-2 too Tseng with a quality outing so far - 4 IP, 5 Ks, 1 BB, 2 Hs...50 IP, 40 Ks, 8 BBs, 4 HRs, 4 Hs this season. All hands on deck for trade season! It was tongue ...

Re: RE: Re: Bears offseason

at this point i'd trust meredith to possibly resemble a 1 more than i would white. That's true...I forgot he was actually pretty decent the 2nd half of last year when no one was paying attention. I still think White has the highest ceiling for a #1. He's only played 4 NFL games, so hopefully he can...

Re: RE: Re: Cubs trading Soler to KC for Wade Davis

What I will say is that I proposed Soler + Grimm for Justin Wilson before the season and let's just say, the idea was not met with positive responses. Who cares. No big deal. But JFC that would have been a coup. Wilson has been ridiculous. Now he's gonna get a massive haul if they move him at the d...

Re: Cubs trading Soler to KC for Wade Davis

Just looked at Soler's stats. The dude has doubled-down on a patient approach (40% swing) and is showing a strong discernment on pitches to swing at... and he's been rewarded with a 250 wOBA. Of course he still pours on the negative defensive value. He horsefeathering sucks. Wonderful trade by Theoy...

So, it looks like Charcer Burks went on the 7-day DL yesterday. What is everyone's opinion of him as a prospect? He's tearing up Tennessee this year, but I don't hear his name mentioned much among prospects. It's not like he's older or anything. Like him a lot. He looks to be a very useful player, ...

Re: Minor League Discussion & Boxes, 5-23-17

Zack Short has drawn 36 walks while the next closest competitor in his league has drawn 31. This guy's out-of-nowhere success reminds me a little of Tim Saunders. I'm sure that's a name that hasn't floated around here in a while. He exploded on the scene and hit 380 in his first pro season, blowing ...

Re: Minor League Discussion & Boxes, 5-22-17

Hudson sounds a bit like Montgomery as a best case scenario. His curve gets a ton of weak grounders and will be his saving grace IMO. He needs to polish his change, I feel like a change with nasty fade from that release point would be devasating. On the note of HR suppression: I was so encouraged go...
