Re: 2020 Draft Thread

I don't follow the MLB draft, so today I just heard of Austin Hendrick and learned that he went to the neighboring school district. Pretty cool that a dude like 12 minutes away from me could go top 15.

Re: NFL Offseason

i didn't realize the nfl player base was like 70% black. https://i.ibb.co/WgSGPJd/21-A27036-51-CC-4-A83-A9-F2-D367860-C5754.gif i thought there were enough fat white linemen to even things out That's literally all there is other than QBs, some LBs, the occasional safety, some slot WRs, and Christia...

Re: Chicago Bulls 2019-2020

Is Saadiq Bey a reach at 7 (where the Bulls will inevitably pick)? Because I really want Saadiq Bey if they pick outside of the top 3. He's not the best athlete in the world, but can spot up shoot with anybody in this draft and projects to be a solid defender with what looks like great length. Not r...

Re: Music Thread 2.0

so i'm going through my record collection and throw on bill cosby's salvation army band record. reason it's in the collection is due to charles wright's watts 103rd street rhythm band as the backing band for all of the songs and they are AWESOME. anyways, i now realize that ol dirty bastard's vocal...

So what happens if Trump deploys the military on American citizens? What happens if he deploys them and they refuse?

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

I'm watching the Bears/Titans game from 2012 (10-6 season missed playoffs in Lovie's last year). And my God did was this organization flat out negligent to Jay Cutler. I mean, this is the year they got Brandon Marshall and they had Forte, but the rest of the offense is putrid. Hester the #2 WR. Kell...

Re: RE: Re: Chicago Bears offseason

ESPN highlighted the Bears' long struggle with running the ball up the middle. They havent ranked higher than 22nd in this millennium. That is embarrassing, especially for a team with such a rich history of doing just that. And they have used several top 100 picks on interior OL (Long, Daniels, Whi...

Re: Jordan/Bulls Doc Release Pushed Up To April 19th

The point wasn't that it was untrue. Just that a lot of it didn't really seem necessary. I actually think it was a very mediocre documentary in all honesty. Supposed to be a 1998 documentary, but there was very little 1998 footage and it was kind of the footnote to basically was a Jordan career doc....

Re: Jordan/Bulls Doc Release Pushed Up To April 19th

Word is Scottie is pretty upset about how he was portrayed. I tend to side with him. 1. Berating Jerry Krause on the team bus. Was portrayed as him being way out of line, yet Jordan spends the whole special making fat and short jokes about Krause. 2. Didn't want to F up his summer, so waited to have...

Re: NFL Offseason

The one Baker supposedly told a third guy to shoot a party guest who had just walked in or something? A little bit. Lately everytime some crazy NFL story comes out I think painkillers and opioids. Baker had serious talent and should be done Yeah, if they are really guilty of what it appears they ar...

Re: NFL Offseason

NFL out for a troll: https://mobile.twitter.com/JimTrotter_NFL/status/1261372096849952769 Small bumps in the 3rd and 4th rounds if the coach or GM lasts 3 years or something. It's a good idea, clearly necessary for this cesspool of a league I'm less sold on the draft pick ideas. The other changes a...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Schedule works out pretty well for the Bears, IMO. A late BYE week (11) will bode well if they are a contending team. Helping them contend is a schedule that starts with 6 straight losing teams from 2019 and the non-playoff Rams thru 7 weeks. Granted, one of those teams is the revamped Bucs, but the...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

So Ginn, Wims, and Ridley likely competing for 2 spots, though you could keep 7 WR if the young guys force the issue, or if they're just fully treating Patterson as RB/returner. I'm actually pretty pleased with this offseason. I'm surprised that they accomplished as much as they did without extendi...

Gipson's solid though. Good pickup by the Bears. Roster at a full 90.

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Meh, Tedd Ginn doesn't have the speed or quickness he once had, and his drops have become more and more of a problem in recent years. It says something that WR depth is still an issue in NO yet they didn't even offer him a contract. He's done. Yeah, not as excited about this move as I was when he f...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Bears signed Ted Ginn Jr. This is an interesting move. I would think they would have done this move before the draft. I liked the thought of bringing in a veteran field stretcher to pair with Allen Robinson and have Anthony Miller in the slot. I probably would have preferred Demarcus Robinson (knows...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Of the UDFAs, I like Pierce. Beating out Ryan Nall shouldn't be a tall task. He's got breakaway speed, can break a big run, and is a viable pass catcher out of the backfield. Also very intrigued by McSwain from Duke. Probably more of a developmental practice squad guy that won't make the 53, but kin...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Overall, it was a decent but not great draft with nothing likely to change the path of the team. Smet, Gipson, and Vildor were reaches while Johnson and Mooney were good value picks. Who I would have selected at each spot: Delphit S LSU (43) Mims WR Baylor (50) Hall CB UVA (155) Weaver Edge Boise (...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Agreed. Floyd himself may be a B- player, but the pick success was a failure. Neither of you make any sense. He's a B- player, but the pick is a failure? WTF does that even mean? I understand that he was a top 10 pick and should have an A player. But him being a failed pick because he's a B- instea...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

I’m judging the draft pick you maroons. The player can be whatever he is, the draft pick is a failure. Floyd being a serviceable player for another team doesn’t bring any value to the bears. It was a terrible draft pick that worked out poorly for the team. They felt obligated to overpay another fre...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

He’s a first round pick they cut after 4 years. It’s an F. He started for 4 years for them. I don't think you can give Leonard Floyd the same grade as Kevin White, who started 0 games and is out of the league before his 5th year. Floyd was cut because he was scheduled to make 13Mil. He was signed l...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Help me out on that one. What’s the likelihood of finding plenty of help this far in? I’m trying to see it with Pace. I really am. But his picks consistently leave me befuddled. His picks in a general sense have been fine. He's drafted better than average overall. The issue is and has always been h...
