Re: Blackhawks 2021?

Blackhawks take a lead for 45 seconds, get a point, lose anyway.

Re: Blackhawks 2021?

The standings are not a particularly relevant concern for the blackhawks Yeah I'll be happy to look back on this as an overreaction, but I don't think people have caught on to just how historically bad this season is going to be. Crawford and Lehner covered up a ton of flaws the last couple years, ...

Re: The Politics Thread

This acts like Trump was the only one using inciting language about the election, or even just on that day. It's so far beyond him now. It doesn't matter if he or Q are "gone;" anyone who has actually been paying attention to this horsefeathers will realize immediately that it long ago ev...

Re: The Politics Thread

Sir. I am not exaggerating when I say it doesn't matter what he says. Half of the horsefeathers they believe is based on the stuff they think he's NOT saying. They think if he or people they think on his side blink a certain way, or clear their throat a certain number of times, or tap the podium, o...

Re: The Politics Thread

I think this is directionally true, but I also don't think it's a coincidence that it blossomed with the celebrity president who is all about baseless conspiracies. With leadership that isn't friendly to this thinking I think it has a dampening influence, even if the goalposts will always be moving...

Re: The Politics Thread

Woof. Guys, the Q-type horsefeathers works for these people because it's never wrong for these people, even when date after date/non-event after non-event keeps coming and not happening. It's just an never ending series of goalposts that never stop moving. The true believers that break it are the t...

Re: Blackhawks 2021?

I've been so uninvested in the Hawks this season that I didn't even realize they realigned divisions, and the Hawks are somehow in the same division as Detroit and Columbus again, but not with St. Louis or Minnesota. Blackhawks divisional opponents this year: Detroit, Columbus, Nashville, Dallas, Ca...

The error rate on that is astonishingly high, not much better than a coin flip. I'd just wait on the vaccine.

Re: TV thread

Watched the first two eps of WandaVision this morning, and I love it so far. Definitely slow rolling that main storyline. The first 3 eps are supposed to be approximately 30 min and after that longer and more variable....so I'm guessing that's when it will pick up on the mystery bit. As som...

Illinois legislature just passed a sweeping 700+ page police reform bill, which will now go before Governor Pritzker. Some of the details as to what it includes: https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/chicago-politics/hb-3653-heres-a-look-at-whats-included/2415933/ Predictably, the police unions hate...

Re: The Politics Thread

The best part of all this is that there will be no Trump tweet response to rile up his base. Just quiet, maybe a press briefing filtered through several somewhat less crazy people.
