Re: The Politics Thread
Guy who used a TLP logo as his profile pic denies supporting TLP huh In fairness, I hated Lou Piniella and briefly had him as an avatar. Same came be said for Rendon/Schwarber Fan. Truth be told, as annoying as Judas can be, I think that TLP avatar was to troll Sofa for being so obsessive in his ha...

Re: Movie Thread 2: The Sequel
We just watched Spring Breakers. I’m not sure what I watched but I am certain that I never want to watch that again. That is bad/disturbing/creepy on so many levels.

Ok, I had been drinking a bit. Still, I do think he could be a poor man’s Tyson Chandler and have a solid career.

I watched this. Gafford is exactly like he was in college. A great rim protector, runs the floor and a great finisher. He has so much potential but he should have stayed in school.

Re: NBA 20-21 Season
Not sure why this is. Probably due to the short layoff after last season, or maybe analytics causing longer midrange shots to go away. Or maybe one and done college players?

I know it’s a small thing, but this brings me joy. I am all in favor of sports stadiums, theatres, etc, putting restrictions on anti-vaxers or anti-maskers.

Re: CDC Info on COVID-19 (Corona virus)
Louisiana's governor just announced that teachers can get vaccine beginning on Monday. I don't yet know how to sign up for an appointment, but I want that thing asap. I’m not sure how things were up where you are, but the Orleans and Jefferson Parish teachers came out strong pushing for this to hap...

Re: Should we talk about the weather? (Hi-hi-hi!)
If ever there were a year for Mardi Gras to be essentially cancelled, this is the year, and the first MG Day I've gone into work in over 20 years. I actually saw lake effect snow on my way in. I was half expecting a few die hards this morning (pun not intended) to be out reveling, but the cold has k...

Yes, please. The Kira Lewis Jr era in NOLA needs to begin. I know a lot here have mentioned this as a possibility but he’s been a real disappointment for the Pels.

Re: Movie Thread 2: The Sequel
I thought Judas & the Black Messiah was very good! I thought Hillbilly Elegy was very bad! MAYBE the latter could have been salvaged if it was someone other than Ron Howard directing it, but probably not. There are stakes, but it's like the movie doesn't trust that it actually has them, so it a...

https://twitter.com/WISN12News/status/1358861599327612930 I have a totally irrational fear of heights, and therefore am white-knuckle driving every time I go over bridges. We don’t have to worry about ice here (except for today, maybe) but this is my worst nightmare. It’s most of the reason I didn’...

We watched Us last night. It was pretty good, mostly because the acting was awesome. Still, we were a little disappointed after all the hype. It felt like a mediocre M Night Shyamalan movie for the last third with its random twists, and the Scooby Doo-like big reveal where the “villain” spills the ...
