Re: Politics & Current Events

Splitting hairs maybe, but being Donald Trump is what gave him the nomination. Not being Hillary is what it took for just about any GOP candidate to win POTUS. I understand what you mean about Paul in the last election, but going full blown Libertarian I think would elevate his popularity. I'm defi...

Re: Politics & Current Events

But I'm not making that comparison. I'm saying that this wave of antiestablishment will still be strong into 2019 and Paul could be a guy to ride that same wave. And I disagree about how Trump won. He won as an outsider first. Almost any stooge with the right message would have beaten Hillary, and ...

Re: Politics & Current Events

Yes. Trump is a largely unique figure in terms of a global public persona he has cultivated for decades. Rand Paul is a fringe DC Libertarian spaz who is mostly disliked by the few people who don't mix him up with his dad or Paul Ryan. Trump's election wasn't just a fluke or some outlier. As full o...

No chance in hell of winning. Do we even need to make the statement anymore that after last year anything is possible? Yes. Re: Politics & Current Events

Rand Paul: The more I hear that loon talk, the more I think he'll run for POTUS (possibly third party) in 2020. The really scary thing is I think he could win. No chance in hell of winning. Do we even need to make the statement anymore that after last year anything is possible? I just think he is R...

Rand Paul: "What I'd like to do is legalize inexpensive insurance, and you should be able to get insurance for $1 a day. I mean, you really should," Paul said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "The insurance companies make all the money; all of this is predicated upon still proppin...

It really becomes clear how little I know about he NBA when things like this happen and I literally have no idea what part is the WTF.

Because the Lakers would be insane to pull the trigger.

I think she's going to become resentful that she feels she has to work so hard to keep the doors open even though that's not actually the case. Also, there's no way Jimmy sees any of that settlement money. Actually, I see the settlement money being a way out for Howard out of the firm and Jimmy's c...

Trump's lawyer had the exact same exchange with both Jame Tapper and Chuck Todd this morning.

"The POTUS said he is under pressure investigation."

"He was responding to a WaPo story. He is not under investigation."

Re: Politics & Current Events

I'm gonna go with "set up a straw man of what healthcare would've been and say this new bill is better than that." But either way, with the utterly heartless agenda the GOP is pushing you'd think the time would be ripe for poor republican voters to finally see the cognitive dissonance req...

At a bar where a game just ended and Speak for Yourself just came on FS1. I refuse to believe there is an audience that watches Cowherd, Whitlock and Doug Gotlieb bicker about nonsense for an hour.

Where did you read or see this?

Seen it on CNN and NBC, source for the info are Congressional Republicans who were there, one being Flake from AZ.

Re: Politics & Current Events

The Republicans are absolute cowards, so outside of Trump murdering orphans and being arrested by the police, he isnt going anywhere. The GOP has the choice of doing the right thing or losing their power, because it's very unlikely they can do both. The moment they turn one Trump is the moment thei...
