Re: Politics, but not weather or journalism or weather journalism

...and if the guy is convicted os sexual assault while sitting on the Supreme Court? Hell, if Republican Senators want to sit on their thumbs during the impeachment process, more power and less voters to them, I say. Anita Hill part 2. Thomas is still on the bench 27 years later Thomas wasn't convi...

Re: Politics, but not weather or journalism or weather journalism

https://twitter.com/SteveSchmidtSES/status/1042564332654133248 Yeah, this is what I was trying to say earlier. There is not a scenario where the GOP looks good with her testimony Monday. The cynic realist in me has a feeling that the Dems are going to horsefeathers this up somehow. They need to cut...

Re: Politics, but not weather or journalism or weather journalism

. I'm thinking he withdraws before Monday. I would bet against that happening. Only people who are capable of feeling shame would consider resigning over this. Being accused of sexual assault just emboldens these jackwagons. Yeah, what pressure is there really for him to withdraw? The GOP sure isn'...

Re: Politics & Current Events

Isn't the flooding still projected to get worse? If you live in a low lying area then of course you should evacuate. This is a rain event, not a wind or surge event. If you do not live near rivers or streams in flood plains, this storm is a big inconvenience, nothing more. Not saying that lives and...

Re: Politics & Current Events

Trump down to 41.2 approval of likely voters and dropping like a stone. Several polls have shown his overall approval stands at 36%. I know there is a baseline percentage of Trumpians that will never sway, but that percentage is below 35%, IMO. This tariff nonsense and his behavior after McCain pas...

Re: Politics & Current Events

It is awful whenever anyone loses a life in a storm, and if a house floods, it is a disaster in their world. That said, not every storm is the next Katrina or Harvey, and it’s irresponsible for news agencies to keep trying to make it so. Hyping every storm is exactly why most people don’t evacuate ...

Re: Politics & Current Events

Like I said, there is precedent, and if the HS allegation is true or he lied to Congress, there should be impeachment proceedings. That said, I seriously worry about our democracy if/when impeaching a SCOTUS justice becomes a new thing.

Re: Politics & Current Events

Under Thomas Jefferson, the US House voted to impeach Justice Samuel Chase for being a loud mouth Federalist who was overtly partisan. In the late ‘60s Justice Abe Fortas resigned under threats of impeachment because of his ties to a corrupt Wall Street firm. There is precedent.

Think it has more to do with nobody on the team besides Lattimore can cover those big WRs.

I’m curious as to how Fox will spin the NYT column. They could say that it’s fake, but the White House has already said that the official should resign.

Not curious enough to endure Hannity, but curious.

Failing to throw a red challenge flag when his receiver was called down at the 1 yd line, then that awful 2-minute drill before halftime was some pretty bad coaching by Taggart.

Re: Politics & Current Events

Something must be coming soon because Trump is lashing out at everyone. Rudi said that Mueller hasn't asked to speak with them for three weeks. His only way out of this a negotiated resignation. I do think we're close. Whether that means in the next month or 3 months I don't know, but this isn't la...
