He was a legend. I knew his story well from Battle of the Bulge history. found a picture of OMC on the Internet: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/uJuTgulxGg0/hqdefault.jpg There were only 20 Medal of Honor winners from the Battle of the Bulge so OMC knowing this story isn't that weird compared to say knowing...

My wife's great uncle Francis Currey passed away yesterday. He was one of 3 living WWII medal of honor recipients. I never met him, but he was badass enough to have a GI Joe figure made after him that he gave to my wife and is now on display in my son's room. His story is incredible. https://en.wik...

Give me Astros bench coach Joe Espada. Widely regarded as a good communicator, has worked in both Astros and Yankees system, bilingual, and spent time in Yankees front office. There’s been a few other candidates I’ve heard thrown around that I do like: Josh Bard, Carlos Beltran, Sam Fuld (blast fro...

I just read through it, and I did not see the supposed threats/extortion against the Ukraine if they did not dig up the Biden dirt. Did I totally miss it, or is there another call that we need to see? the Ukrainian president says "we'd like to buy some missiles from you for our defense" a...

because humans have 500,000 years of tribalism hard-wired into our brains. It takes intelligence to get past that. Most of them don't have the requisite brain power to do so.

Indeed. I'm stunned. Eli Apple is shaky at CB, but this might be the best defense of the Payton era. The 2009 SB team had a nice D but relied on getting turnovers. This D is a force. Giving up 27 points and over 400 yards passing (over 500 yards total) is what you call a force? 20 of those points a...

Joe Espada or Carlos Beltran sound good to me. If the Astros and Yankees brain trusts, respectively, like these guys, that's good enough for me. Espada and Bard are my top 2. Totally down with that. As others have said, aside from his lack of experience coaching, I'd be concerned that Ross' preexis...
