Re: Politics & Current Events

I think my favorite part of that crazy interview Trump did with the NYT, is how he clumsily dropped that he talked to Putin about adoption at the G20. TRUMP: She was sitting next to Putin and somebody else, and that’s the way it is. So the meal was going, and toward dessert I went down just to say h...

I think the dragon horn will come across as really hokey if they do it in the show.

Re: Game of Thrones

https://twitter.com/VICE/status/884527637909176324 He's never going to finish it. I've accepted that. Look, I probably won't be writing episodes of ANY television shows until WINDS OF WINTER is done and delivered, and that goes for the five GAME OF THRONES successor shows as well. From his blog yes...

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

I'm glad to be reading this thread right now. My wife is just about done with the first trimester and I'm still in the terrified phase. It's not as bad as everyone says. When they are really little, it's super easy. 1) they sleep a lot 2) they can't move. Then again, my son wasn't a high-volume cri...

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

Hearing your child say Dada for the 1st time, even before Mama is pretty amazing. My wife and I both tried to make Mama our son's first word, but after mastering the "mm" sound he zoomed right past it and now says Dada repeatedly. It's the greatest thing. My 1 year old says "dada&quo...

Re: Video Game Thread

Buddy convinced me to play Borderlands 2 with him (he had played it before but I hadn't). Anyway, this game is great. Lots of fun and it holds up very well because of the style of graphics.

Re: Bears offseason

Well, that was unexpected. I generally think trade ups are stupid and overly expensive in terms of picks you have to give up. But I'm not about to pretend like I have any idea how Trubisky will turn out.

I'm on the Jimmy G bandwagon (as long as it's not the #3 pick)! He's got the handsomeness I'm looking for in a QB.

Re: Bears offseason

I'm kind of torn on him as well. I expect he'll cut down on the running significantly in the NFL. Just looking at the numbers this year, he wasn't an effective runner (3.8 ypc). It's hard for me to project how these spread QBs will do in the NFL. He took so many snaps yesterday from the shotgun and ...

I used to love Open World games - they were by far my favorite type of game. Now, I get burned out on these games so quickly. I got Skyrim SE when it came out since I never played the original. I played a lot but now I'm to the point where my guy is pretty powerful, the dungeons are blending togeth...

I have no idea what he's going to do once president. I don't get the sense he has any deeply held beliefs beyond self-advancement. I doubt we see much follow through on many of his wildest campaign promises. That's not necessarily a good thing as he may focus on new and even worse ideas.

Re: Video Game Thread

Considering there is a poise stat that no one can figure out, I'd say it's pretty safe to say hyperarmor and poise are two different things. As for the rest of it, just make it like DS2, poise worked in that game pretty well, and by the end, it was a very well-balanced pvp experience. And it didn't...
