Re: The Politics Thread

yeah, i gotta say, i'm far from an expert in such things but, as much as i'd love to see it, i have a really hard time seeing him ever facing any real consequences. Yeah, I'd love it, but the most you're gonna see is a bunch of lawsuits and plea deals and bargaining and horsefeathers at best. No ch...

Re: NBA ‘20-‘21 Offseason

I had all but lost interest in the NBA pretty much after Jordan retired. I wasnt a Bulls fan but it was very interesting. I started watching again as my kids became teens because they were into it. I find NBA as enjoyable know as I ever did in the 80s and 90s

Re: Bulls offseason discussion

I don't really see how it's fair to be livid. Also most of those people at realGM are insane. Toolsy guy we took fourth overall in a very weak draft. Who knows. We'll see what happens. It seems that he had more upside than most in this draft. Since it is a weak draft why not take a high upside guy?

A few less talked about teams that I think make sense for Kris Bryant: Mets - JD Davis is about as much of a 3B as Ryan Braun was. Jeff McNeil can play it but I think they like moving him around a la Ben Zobrist. Acquiring KB for primarily $ and keeping the farm intact is exactly the type of move t...

Going down a bit of a rabbit hole in presidential election history due to the tweet posted earlier in this thread. Curious as to what the feeling was amongst democrats in the 80s when Reagan soundly defeated the incumbent Carter, and then eviscerated Mondale, carrying 49 states. Then in 1988 GHWB d...

Re: College Basketball 2020-2021

Appreciate AP having Michigan 25. I don't think a lot of people have them in the top 25 (I think? havent looked too hard but I've seen a lot of projections that have them like 8th in the Big Ten) Of course what I'm really looking forward to is 2021 with 2 5 stars and several 4 stars coming in :) Re...

Re: College Football - Week 11 (Nov. 14)

I fully expect Indiana to lose to MSU with what I’ve seen in the league so far. MSU is kind of weird, cannot imagine everything going as wrong as it did in our 2 losses. Yet, I cannot imagine everything going as right as it did in the Michigan game. I think I am going to bet Sparty, which I rarely ...

Re: The Politics Thread

Biden won all the uncalled states except North Carolina. Everyone is just being too cowardly to make calls. Trump is already 6 million votes ahead of 2016 and there is still more to count. Republicans are way better at turning out votes than we give them credit for. They have their own media bubble...

I got covid a couple of weeks ago. I got lucky in that I had mostly head cold symptoms for 3 to 4 days with some chills. I did lose my sense of taste and smell, which is more annoying than it sounds. So overall I feel I got lucky. Today is my first day back at work and Oh frcking my it feel like the...

It wasn't a resounding victory, but a win is a win. I have no idea how Biden will be able to govern this s-hole country. I'm already pretty sure the 2022 mid terms will be a bloodbath. Dems will be confident in taking the Senate, and then they won't and then lose the house because Biden "hasn'...

My wife went to bed at 9pm last night and really didn't get why I was so uptight about the whole thing. She can't stand Trump, but the things he says and does don't impact her at an emotional level. But she is very good at not worrying about the things she can't control. I envy her, really. I reali...

I thought it was telling when all the OSU players who opted out came back, but Michigans still stayed away. I dont think OSU out recruits Michigan by much, but their players develop better and are more committed.
