Re: Blackhawks 2021-22

I feel like the Hawks must think Toews is going to rebound into something similar to his prime yrs. Short of that I am puzzled by their direction

So dumb question...why is it so public? I am sure MLB players get divorced all the time, why is this one so much more public than others

Re: College Basketball 2020-2021

So, Indiana pays $10M for Archie Miller to go away so that they can hire Mike Woodson? Can't decide if I like the hire or not. Leaning towards "not" considering his 63 years old, but I'll give him a shot. Gotta stop with these 6 year deals though. I dont understand the Thad Matta thing th...

Re: Blackhawks 2021?

Hawks somehow with 2nd most points in the NHL. It's because they have played like 4 more games than anyone else, but still. I saw something that said they are 7-1-1 in their last 9, which seems fake but I can't recall them losing very much lately. I watched both of the games against the Wings. The ...

Was looking through some MVP seasons this morning and came across Willie Stargell in 1979. He won the NL MVP with a 2.5 WAR. Yeesh. Look at Stargell compared to Hernandez, Schmidt, and Winfield. https://www.baseball-reference.com/awards/awards_1979.shtml#all_NL_MVP_voting Even just looking at tradi...

Re: Super Bowl Thread

I hope the rumor is true about the guy who streaked the SB in a Borat suit and later removed it. Supposedly, he found a prop bet that whether or not there be a streaker at the event and placed a 50k bet and won over 370k. I doubt it's true but... If true, it’s genius. Couldnt the place that took th...

Re: Super Bowl Thread

It wasnt just a consistent pass rush. It was a contained pass rush. TB did not allow Mahomes to roll left or right or step up. A team can get all the pressure they want on Mahomes, but if he is allowed to step up or roll out it doesnt do any good, he is too good on the move. They forced him backward...

I couldn't get through the 1st episode. It's garbage. My wife watched it, but she watched all the shonda stuff. Her monologue style of dialogue is unwatchable for me, especially in Scandal, which was basically a series of one person telling another person THE MOST... IMPORTANT THING... THEY... HAVE...

Yeah wow did I ever underestimate how powerful the Detroit tank is. Doesnt do us any good. We keep getting screwed in the lottery. The Wings have gotten most of the Cap space cleared where Holland was way to generous to mediocre players who were 4th liners on their better teams. And are actually ge...

Re: NFL perpetual 2020 regular and postseason non Bears thread

I always thought Hoodie made Brady more than vice versa and I’ll accept this season as a strong point against that I felt the same and have basically given up on that line of thinking. The fact that I had to watch the utterly toast Cam Newton play a huge role in bringing me to that conclusion makes...

Re: College Football - Week 15 (Dec. 12)

Very unsurprisingly, the B1G has reportedly voted to rescind the 6-game requirement to play in the title game, clinching the East for Ohio State. Its in the B1G interest to have OSU in the playoffs. Truth is if the situation was reversed I think they would have put Indiana in the Championship game ...

I had all but lost interest in the NBA pretty much after Jordan retired. I wasnt a Bulls fan but it was very interesting. I started watching again as my kids became teens because they were into it. I find NBA as enjoyable know as I ever did in the 80s and 90s

I don't really see how it's fair to be livid. Also most of those people at realGM are insane. Toolsy guy we took fourth overall in a very weak draft. Who knows. We'll see what happens. It seems that he had more upside than most in this draft. Since it is a weak draft why not take a high upside guy?

A few less talked about teams that I think make sense for Kris Bryant: Mets - JD Davis is about as much of a 3B as Ryan Braun was. Jeff McNeil can play it but I think they like moving him around a la Ben Zobrist. Acquiring KB for primarily $ and keeping the farm intact is exactly the type of move t...
