Week 16 2013 (horsefeathers Conte) (edit: well that was actually week 17 but still horsefeathers Conte)

I was at that week 17 game and it was cold AF and the loss was soul crushing.

Re: It's Maddoning

Yeah, being spoiled is awesome. I definitely have some issues with how Joe uses the pen, but not nearly to the point I'd want him gone or anything. And if I did, it wouldn't matter anyway, because he's not going anywhere. But yeah, I'd suspect our 4 star Yelp doctor and staff are history after the ...

Isn’t he still learning the offense? I would expect him to get more comfortable with reads and knowing exactly where guys are supposed to be as the season goes on. If we haven’t seen a difference by game 8, then yeah, I get the concerns.

Re: The Cardinals

Just for fun: The Cardinals are 9-10 since taking the interim tag off of Schildt. Not-so-coincidentally: Carpenter during this 9-10 run: .772 OPS That's definitely a more apt correlation. He was carrying the entire offense with a few kick ins from others here and there and it made them look a lot b...

Re: Addison Russell

I keep hoping he’s hurt like Zo was last year and just needs the offseason to get healthy. that would mean he's been unhealthy for 2 years in a row, which wouldn't fill me with confidence either I think the personal life turmoil had a lot to do with last year's struggles. I'm certainly not counting...

You do something every day one way for years, or decades, and then you have to switch it up...that can be weird for a whole host of reasons. Like when I busted up my shoulder and was in a sling for a week, couldn't wipe with my left hand at all. Brutal. I've had 2 surgeries on my right shoulder. Ma...

Re: Cubs TV broadcast rights

So to summarize, out of market fans would only be able to see the Cubs broadcasts via MLab Extra Innings....as of now? However out of market fans watch them now would almost certainly be the same way they'd see them on the Cubs network. This is really only materially different to the local market, ...

Re: Cole Hamels: Somehow Justin Verlander

Does anyone truly know the luxury tax implications of the various options? From what I've gathered: [*]Per the CBA, the $6M 2019 buyout has already been included in Hamel's AAV calculation from '13-'18 for luxury tax purposes [*]If the 2019 option is declined all bets are off for Hamel's 2019+ cont...

Gov. Bruce Rauner has a vetoed bill that would have given public school teachers an annual minimum salary of $40,000 over the next five years. Rauner says he vetoed the bill Sunday because the minimum pay is an inefficient way to compensate teachers and is an unfunded mandate on school districts. T...

His offensive profile is kinda Almoraish Yeah, but there is just something about Bader that the Cardinal fans like more than Almora. Does Bader like to drink and drive or beat his wife too? Funny you should ask. [tweet] https://twitter.com/bestfansstlouis/status/1030874109343948800?s=21 [/tweet]

I was watching the game against the Nats last night and the praise for anything any of their players do well is just so over the top gushing that it's gross.
