Re: Politics & Current Events

https://twitter.com/ZekeJMiller/status/953671685810675712 From the referenced AP article : 11:45 a.m. Steve Bannon’s attorney relayed questions, in real time, to the White House during a House Intelligence Committee interview of the former Trump chief strategist. That’s according to people familiar...

Re: TV thread

Black Mirror I watched several episodes of the first season but I didn't really love it. Are future seasons better? I gather I can just pick up any random episode with any season as they are all independent? None of the absolute best episodes are in the first season, but they aren't functionally di...

The fact that these guys are brilliant baseball minds but are actual, real human beings with personalities and not robots (sorry David) makes them so much better.

Thanks for the responses. I thought it was shin splints but wasn't 100% sure. Do you stretch before and after your runs? What type of running shoes do you have? Outside of running, what other lower body/leg exercises do you incorporate in your fitness regiment? I always stretch before runs and I've...

That IMLFF has done well since I put a small taste on it a couple weeks ago. I've doubled my money already. I'm interested to see if today's bump was a reaction to the CA stuff or if it's sustainable. It's not a huge sum of money (at least not yet), but it's a fun play.

TT, what’s your rationale for thinking the Cubs want to replace Jake’s star power? That seems like an arbitrary thing that this front office wouldn’t get caught up in.

Easily Darvish.

And when you add in the likely draft pick from Jake signing elsewhere, it’s even more of a no brainer.

Re: Orioles are shopping Machado - (Cubs in talks per Levine)

At this point (minus a Yelich trade), I'm resigned to them signing Darvish and a couple of relievers and calling it an off-season. Let the progression/regression of Schwarber and Heyward as well as Russell and Baez determine whether Harper or Machado is a bigger need next off-season. This is pretty...

Re: Bullpen Options

What’s the situation with Trevor Rosenthal and would he be worth trying to stash this offseason? He had to have TJS or some sort of surgery and I think he’s going to be out for the entire year. Hard pass for me, if we are going to do the 2 year sign and stash thing for a guy Pineda would be my targ...

Different strokes. the bourbon is overpowering everything else for me. Dragon's Milk is about the only one I can sort of tolerate, not that I've tried a lot. I know my likes. Have you had Bourbon County? Or any of the other well thought of BA stouts? Because if you haven't that's probably the issue...

I like stouts and heavy wheat beers in the winter. I like crisp, hoppy beer all year round. I like pils and lagers in the summer, but Oberon is my go-to beer in the summer. Sometimes, malty beers are good. I like a doppelbock on occasion. I don't care for lambic beers but I like most Abby beers. Bo...

So, not to be team Sulley here, but shouldn’t the punishment fit the crime? I know using the Moore situation is at best a questionable way to go, but hear me out. Good move by them in my opinion. He'll be 35 when it's up and that seems like a really safe age to give yourself an option to move on from a player. He and Trout kinda quietly smashed the last couple months of the season and almost got the Angels into the playoffs. Couple of other good touches this...

McGee 10 years out from TJS is not appealing to me. Even with reduced usage as a reliever, he's essentially a ticking time bomb isn't he?
