I honestly had the thought that I should probably do that right after I posted, but decided I’d rather gross people out instead. Mission accomplished!

They hold up a lot better in terms of not getting dried out. I make a crockpot chicken cacciatore using skinless bone in thighs and it turns out really well.

Re: NSBB Recipes or How I Learned to Love the Crockpot

I used this recipe to make the meat: https://www.isabeleats.com/mexican-slow-cooker-pork-carnitas-tacos/ Then, I took portions of the shredded pork and pan fried it in a little oil to get the bottom crispy, then threw it in a tortilla with some accouterments for tacos. I used some of the leftovers m...

Re: Beer Thread 2.0

They can all go suck it. I keep thinking we are just about maxed out in craft breweries but then I remember just how much equity can still be had from these guys. It doesn't have to be distributed or take up shelf space, and there are plenty of tap only regional breweries still popping up and doing...

Re: Beer Thread 2.0

Budweiser is no longer one of America's three most popular beers. Before 2001, Budweiser was the top-selling U.S. beer, but it relinquished that crown to Bud Light. Coors Light knocked Budweiser out of the second spot in 2011. Now Miller Lite has taken over third place, relegating Bud to No. 4, acc...

There is no way someone has multiple crockpot meals and comes away with a take this bad. Even the example of "15 minute tops" to cook chicken is more steps and prep than a slowcooker while guaranteed to be way less delicious. In CubInNY’s defense, chicken breasts are about the worst thing...

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

I mean I guess it sucks if people can't understand issues like density and such, and people from Clayton and Webster Grove get all defensive, but it's not some failing of basic statistical understanding, which like every St Louisian loves to present it as. Besides you live in Webster Grove! And you...

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

St Louis is always high on this list and people from the area will be quick to say it's biased because of the way the data is collected and always came down to some weird argument that the surrounding county areas should be included which would lower the rate. I still don't understand their beef ex...

Nah, you can at least throw a little Skyline on a dog with some cheese and onions and it's redeemable.

I have never had the displeasure of STL pizza but why on earth would pizza sauce be bright orange as it appears in that picture? Or is that the cheese? Black Mirror I watched several episodes of the first season but I didn't really love it. Are future seasons better? I gather I can just pick up any random episode with any season as they are all independent? None of the absolute best episodes are in the first season, but they aren't functionally di...

Re: Stocks

That IMLFF has done well since I put a small taste on it a couple weeks ago. I've doubled my money already. I'm interested to see if today's bump was a reaction to the CA stuff or if it's sustainable. It's not a huge sum of money (at least not yet), but it's a fun play.
