Re: 2020 Playoff Race

On that note I’m not sure anyone is licking their chops at the idea of facing Yu and Hendricks back to back. That’s a lot of smoke in a 3 game series.

Re: NL Central: Reds, Pirates and others

I've got a feeling he drops like 10 homers in the upcoming 4 game series at Wrigley. Yelich is dog horsefeathers at Wrigley and always has been. I doubt it. Real question, are things like this a coincidence or do batters just not see the ball well in some ballparks but do in other parks? Darryl Str...

What were ratings for April through mid-July?

About the same as their costs?

You think the Cubs org had 0 costs between April and July?

Re: On Bended Knee - The Rizzo Thread

I remember sensing the tide turning in late 2014. First, IIRC, it was Alcantara (lol) and Hendricks getting called up around the same time. Then Javy which was super exciting until he started striking out in 80% of his PAs. Then Soler came up and did crazy awesome things. Rizzo had turned it around...

That was really, really unfunny.

I don't know if SNL was always unfunny and I didn't realize it or if it just got really unfunny but I couldn't agree more. Who tf thought people would laugh at that?

His family didn't report him missing for 21 days. I had not heard this before. This is for real? That's nuts. A total of 21 days passed before family members reported Jordan missing. His 57th birthday came and went on July 31, nine days after he had last been seen alive. On the 22nd day, his body w...

Latest Forbes report says Cubs are worth $3.2 Billion, not a bad return on spending $845 million in 2009. So why did we have to sit out this offseason free agency? There are many ways to answer your question, but the $3.2B figure isn't the best. It's not a "return," it's a valuation. A si...

Anyone watching Game 7 right now? Contreras just doubled to make it 3-1. Yeah, I'm watching it and the quick hook on Hendricks still pisses me off.
