Re: JD Martinez to Red Sox 5/110

Front loaded deal with opt outs after years 2 and 3. I think it’s a good deal for the Red Sox.

You've been saying that for months

Talks today that Gates is finalizing a plea deal. Hopefully it’s done quicker than a Darvish signing.

Re: Darvish to Cubs, 6/$126 Million + Incentives

I think Jake might get a little more than Darvish, but he wants Greinke and Boras of course is probably selling that still. He just needs to pick where he wants to live for the next 6 years. The money won’t be that much different that longer this drags out.

Re: Darvish to Cubs, 6/$126 Million + Incentives

If you're the kind of person who really cares about getting efficiency out of your free agent dollars, I can see not liking this. Pitchers suck, six years for pitchers really sucks, and opt-outs are *really* bad. But if you're the kind of person who likes it when you add really good pitchers to a r...

Not a fan of Fremont. 7 Seas, Valholl, Georgetown, Diamond Knot are all much better. Also, have you NW’rs seen a drop in Diamond Knots distribution recently? Its become nearly impossible to find in the West Sound I think Fremont has the barrel aging program in Washington, but their core lineup outs...

Re: Beer Thread 2.0

Any good brewery recommendations in the surrounding Boston area? Out in Waltham all next week. Buddy had me bring home some Trillium a couple weeks ago, which was good, not sure what else is out there. Trillium is my favorite, but also Idle Hands has been great the little I have had from them. Laws...

Re: Beer Thread 2.0

Outside of Black Friday, I probably haven't spent $100 in a liquor store on beer in the last 6 months. Just about everything I buy is direct from the breweries. I don't have that luxury in Boise yet. We have a ton of breweries and the hop production but lacking the quality from most of them and the...

http://money.cnn.com/2018/01/22/news/companies/budweiser/index.html They can all go suck it. I keep thinking we are just about maxed out in craft breweries but then I remember just how much equity can still be had from these guys. It doesn't have to be distributed or take up shelf space, and there ...

Re: Beer Thread 2.0

Budweiser is no longer one of America's three most popular beers. Before 2001, Budweiser was the top-selling U.S. beer, but it relinquished that crown to Bud Light. Coors Light knocked Budweiser out of the second spot in 2011. Now Miller Lite has taken over third place, relegating Bud to No. 4, acc...

Dear tv partners. How would you like to have Bryant, Rizzo, Javy, Schwarber, Willson, and oh say Harper to advertise too? And some boring pitchers too.

Re: Offseason Transactions

So Machado gets $16 million and Donaldson gets $23 million? Never thought there would be that big of a gap when Donaldson's was announced first.
