Re: Mediocre has-been pitcher really doesn't like Machado

who cares about his toe? The entire foot is over the bag. lmao so horsefeathering what. if machado runs like a normal person and not someone ATTEMPTING TO INJURE ANOTHER PLAYER no one even notices or cares. really? I mean, it's pretty obvious machado ran at him because of how blatantly the first ba...

Re: Mediocre has-been pitcher really doesn't like Machado

the first baseman standing on top of the bag? Yes, that is dirty. his toe is on like 2 percent of the bag, come on. even if that is weird in anyway, it's orders of magnitude worse to horsefeathering kick the guy's foot for doing it. just touch the other 98 percent of open bag who cares about his to...

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

on a positive note my daughter did find a show called "little einsteins" that highlights music and art. She's 2 1/2 and told me she named her stuffed unicorn "mona lisa" because "sometimes she looks happy and sometimes she looks sad."

I still can't believe that no one who worked for her stopped and said wait this is a bad idea.

If she wanted to do the DNA test, leak the results to a reporter, or just quietly do it on your own. The whole media blitz was REMARKABLY tone deaf. She earned every bit of this.

I mean, I guess/hope she's trying to deflate it as much as possible ahead of time if she's planning on running in 2020, but acting like this is some kind of slam dunk right now is goofy as hell. Even if it is to get it out of the way, why are you setting it up on a horsefeathering tee for the Repub...

Sign Kipnis after the Indians shockingly buyout his option, replace LaStella with a glove player like Igleisias Speaking of the Indians...Would Schwarber/Happ/Almora for Triston McKenzie and Lenny Torres be a bad deal for either side? yes trading 75 percent of our outfield for a 17 year old and an ...

Re: Realistic Trade Targets

Castellanos isn’t a free agent till after 2020 unless I’m misreading Cots. Getting a RH power hitter to offset an all lefty outfield (assuming the Cubs sign Harper) is a great idea, but it would be easier to fill the gaping hole in the middle infield. Sign Kipnis after the Indians shockingly buyout...

Re: Realistic Trade Targets

Should add that Castellanos is mostly about adding a RH bat coming off a ~.350 wOBA over the past three years in his 20’s for pretty cheap. Getting him out of the infield full time may help mitigate some of the damage on defense Frees up Schwarber for a cheap SP, Almora/Happ for a cost controlled r...

Re: Minor League Musings place holder.

This doesn't really relate to the Cubs or their farm system, but I enjoyed these questions in his latest chat on Fangraphs: Chuncey Wiggins: Do scouts ever switch sports? Eric A Longenhagen: Other than Jonah Hill’s Moneyball character, I can’t think of anyone switching sports off the top of my head...

Re: Guess what an idiot with a gun did this time

if the kid is a cutter he can join the other probably 10 percent of the school that also does that. I know that's harsh but tell the principal, talk to your daughter's teachers and get them to talk to a counselor, but dont overreact. the kid needs help, not fear and ostracizing.

I was pretty critical of a lot of Season 2 of Westworld, even thought it was cool and entertaining. I'm a fan of this Alt-Shift-X's dood's Game of Thrones stuff. He pointed out some of the inconsistancies I noticed, and a LOT more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0pBbp_eLQg people like this are th...

maybe it slipped that Drew Smyly, Alec Mills, and Alzolay are next up im not opposed to moving on from monty ahead of his inevitable turn into a pumpkin but hoisting up these three turds in his place is not exactly enticing So, I'm guessing you're figuring we just don't have the luck for a pitcher ...
