Jake Gyllenhaal cast as Mysterio for the next Spider-man movie. And Michael Keaton will be back.

Yep, she was great. I do wish that Teenage Negasonic Warhead had more to do in it, but that was my only complaint.

Re: TV thread

I'd like to think most of the show's fans just think "Trubisky" is some nonsense gibberish name or word that of course a human cartoon like Nick would inexplicably have on a jersey. And not even today...in the future! It's pre-supposing that Trubisky is going to be good enough to want a j...

Re: Guess what an idiot with a gun did this time

Maybe its just recency bias but doesn't it seem like most of these mass shootings are occuring in Red States or hillbilly country(Dixon IL). I know Nevada is technically now blue but Nevada has some of the most weak gun laws in the country as does Texas and Florida. Mostly, probably. Dixon is hillb...

Re: TV thread

Man, I do not get the repeated idea that Megan Fox was good (like, to the point that some people talk like it was some kind of "whoa, Megan Fox can ACT/is really funny!" revelation) on TNG. Like, AT ALL. Maybe I need to rewatch those episodes, but I just remember her coming across with al...

Anyone try the new "fresh" Quarter Pounder at McDonalds? Still tastes like ass, plus mine was very rare(like cooked for 5 seconds on each side) and I might have a tale for the Bathroom Nightmares thread. everything non-breakfast at McDonald's is horsefeathering disgusting A good batch of ...

Re: TV thread

Just finished the first season of The New Girl. Is it worth watching the rest of it? Season one had it's moments but seemed predictable. Does it get better? Maybe, a bit, but not by leaps and bounds. They finally figure out what to do with Winston in season 3. At some point, I forget which, Cece be...

This Hawaii volcano stuff is fascinating. If it wasn't for all the people in the area, I'd definitely be rooting for more lava explosions, and whatnot though. Me and the fam have tickets to Kona and air bnb reservations to an area 5 miles to the East of the new fissures in mid July. I'm also a geop...

Toasted ravioli, it is the one St. Louis specific cuisine that is edible, because it's basically another fried appetizer you dip in marinara. It's no crunchier than a mozzarella stick though. https://food.fnr.sndimg.com/content/dam/images/food/fullset/2011/8/29/2/FNM_100111-Only-In-004_s4x3.jpg.ren...

That's the same nonsense NBC does with The Good Place , too. I don't understand it since NBC/Comcast is one of the biggest investors in Hulu. I hope this doesn't happen to Brooklyn 99 , since right now the whole series is up there. That there is nowhere to watch the beginning of The Good Place seas...

Great News was a ton of fun, so, of course, it was a pain in the ass to watch. I think Hulu only has the second season, and maybe not even all of it. Yep, only the 5 most recent episodes. Surely with it cancelled the entire series will go on streaming services soon? Otherwise the nbc app is the onl...

I don't like some of transparent elements, but other than that, I got used to it pretty quick. Some bits are improvements.

The first time I heard it I could vaguely hear one under the other. But with one earbud it was clearly laurel and the other started as Laurel and faded to yanny after two cycles. Subsequently I've heard mostly laurel. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/05/16/upshot/audio-clip-yanny-laurel-deb...
