Baby steps. One big throw this week. Two next week. And so on.

Pace needs to bitch out Nagy. They’re regressing.

Don’t forget that Nagys just scratching the surface with this offense, it’s gonna take time for Mitch to learn it. What a joke.

An outfield of Schwarber, Soler and Jimenez would be an insane experiment from an offensive and defensive standpoint. 120 dongs, negative WAR.

Could we see Jed Hoyer heading to Boston?

Somebody loan Theo a gorilla suit.

So Jed can wear it or Theo? I’m open to either.

Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat

Will there be a big manager search with many brought in for interviews or do they already know who they want? It's 2005 all over again because Beltran or bust* *Or really someone who speaks Spanish with a ton of experience but maybe none as a manager, but I remember what happened last time they set...

Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat

Besides, this season from hell is clearly ending with STL lucking into another BS title, so LA is gonna go at least another year without one Nah we’ll still win the division but get our horsefeathers stuffed in the DS or CS I don’t see us winning the division. Bullpen aside, theres no question the ...

Ryno for sure, no doubt. 9 GG’s, MVP - the total package.

Would love to see Javy pass him up in all metrics. Will have to wait and see.

Re: General Baseball Chit-Chat Thread

I was under the impression Bennetti was really good and pretty widely respected across baseball? I’d have to be pretty desperate to actually turn on a Sox game, especially with how much fun the cubs have been for the last couple months, so not speaking from too much personal experience. I will occa...

Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat

Even if the Cubs win the division - I think Maddon is toast. Yes, the players have to perform but he’s at the helm. As this season unfolds, the more and more I see the FO going in a different direction.

Zero. Why would they do that when they already have Acuna and then they have 2 elite OF prospects in Pache and Waters who are both ready to go to AAA now. Locking up another OF spot long term and for lots of money just doesn't make any sense. Pache's really hitting for the first time as a pro, and ...

What a horsefeathers show - all the way around. Maddon can’t manage for horsefeathers, the pen blows, and when the offense doesn’t hit HR’s - there’s no scoring. Too many holes to fill.

Generally, based on his age/innings pitched, what’s the time table for him to advance to MB - then TN - then IA?

Then Theo has to admit that letting TLS go and signing Descalso was an epic failure on his part. And signing oft injured Morrow for 2/$21M. Complete and total waste for a team ownership bitching about money. The price reflected the risk, the rest of the FA RP market sucked or was overpriced (Davis,...

Big changes are coming in the off season. Mini rebuild here we come starting with not re-upping Maddon and going a cheaper route. No way are they signing Sgt. Girardi. If their not gone by the deadline in a week - Schwarber, Russell, Al Mora & Happ flipped for young pitching & position play...

If it is Lange, what else would it cost for a rental like Castellanos? :shrugs: I can't imagine much to rent a corner bat. Maybe a couple DSL/AZLers? Zagunis or Short or Giambrone? Maybe someone from the Miller/Abbott/Richan/Thompson/Assad pool? Nothing but Lange would be sweet if this happens He’s...
