Re: The Politics Thread

You’re telling me that the Goat Herders Guide to the Universe isn’t a great guide to live by? People want to live by Christ's principles, they want to be forgiven. People are mainly just scared of death. You don’t need to live by Christ’s principles to be a decent human being yea, forgot a don't in...

Re: The Politics Thread

The ironic point is if these Christians truly aspired to Christianity, Trump would not be their President and things like racism, homophobia and xenophobia would be dealt mortal blows. Spoken like somebody who has never read the Bible. Seriously, the stuff it says is horrifying . You’re telling me ...

Re: CDC Info on COVID-19 (Corona virus)

Does the vaccine 'plans' that you guys are talking about imply that there's sufficient distribution infrastructure set up to actually get the vaccines to people? If that's just talking about production, little less excited....doesn't matter how many vaccines Pfizer etc can ship to the Walmarts and ...

I'm hopeful that we get a drop in cases from the snowstorm to make up for the vaccine delays. A huge chunk of people in areas that were fairly open got locked down by nature. That's gotta have an effect, right? I'm getting my second dose tomorrow. I'm nervous. I cannot afford to be physically weake...

Dest getting thrown under the bus for not stopping Mbappe. Seems pretty harsh to me as he was not at fault for any of the goals and even slowing Mbappe down 1v1 is a big ask.

Re: Should we talk about the weather? (Hi-hi-hi!)

It's been a very dry winter all across California, except for a small swath of Central California. Parts of Northern California are on track to record their biggest 2 year deficits in recorded history. Yes, we're in a La Niña year. Traditionally, that means more precipitation for the PNW, less for ...

Re: Should we talk about the weather? (Hi-hi-hi!)

I don't think we will have those crazy fires this year. Its been raining so much, and at higher altitudes snowing, that forests won't be the tinderboxes that they were the years represented in your images. At least not up here, but I thought northern California was also getting the precipitation. I...

Yeah it's funny how one performance can shift the window for perception so much. Two bad giveaways from Leipzig and now Liverpool is in commanding position to advance, and the quarterfinals don't start for ~7 weeks so they have a lot of time to get healthy(Fabinho/Jota), get guys in form(Alisson) o...

our county has hit the red tier metrics (for California) and almost the orange tier (next lower). One more week and we'll be in red and orange may be close behind. Is this where we open up too quickly and start the next wave? My MIL finished her vaccination last week - the question now is, now what?...

Parlayed over 2.5 on both games today because people have pretty much stopped pretending to work, but our nanny couldn't come so I'm on kid duty. Let's go goals. I've occasionally thought about skiing on the east coast . . . but then why the hell would I fly over so much great skiing to do that?
