Re: On Bended Knee - The Rizzo Thread

So it has now been a full month since Rizzo last hit a HR and going all the back to June 1st his SLG is .438. I know the OBP is still there, but I'm starting to get a bit worried here. he has the second best numbers of his career and he is notoriously streaky with the power. i worry about everythin...

Federer and Djokovic in the 5th set at Wimbledon. That was epic but boy did Federer ever blow it. Up 5-3 in the 1st set tiebreak and he loses 4 straight points including a couple bad errors. Then two match points in the 5th set at 8-7 (I think) and he can’t convert. That one will sting for him for ...

The Rockets are such [expletive] frauds. This is going to be the epitome of their, "well, this SHOULD work amazingly on paper, so let's just go for it" bull horsefeathers blowing up in their faces. I don’t think they’ll win the title either but it’s probably better than just running it ba...

This is a wild offseason. I’m sure the Thunder will send Paul somewhere for even more picks. It’s going to be the Knicks isn’t it.

While I would have preferred Kawhi, a part of me is glad he didn’t go to the Lakers. The NBA is going to be great next year. No clear favorite and a ton of teams have a decent shot at the title.

Brought back Rondo, McGee and KCP also and signed Danny Green. Really like the last one since they desperately needed shooting.

Kawhi goes to the Clippers.

Also:

Guess Paul George really did want to go to LA. He gets the massive contract and gets to play where he wants to.

Wasn’t the whole reason they kept Horan on the bench against Spain was so she didn’t pick up a yellow and be forced to miss the France game?

Ellis got away with it but it doesn’t seem smart.

Looking like Tim Anderson blew out his achilles, at least in the opinion of the head of thoracic surgery at Tufts So they’re claiming sprained ankle but I’ll be shocked if that’s what it is. It didn’t look like he turned his ankle at all on the play. Plus he was down on the ground and didn’t put an...

Re: NL Central: Vaunted Defending Champion Brewers and others

Being six games over and having a -1 run differential is hardly anything special, there are teams that play way worse and end up with way better records, like the 2007 Diamondbacks. The team that should be really upset is the reds with a +48 run differential and a losing record The Reds and Pirates...

Schwarber had a 1.022 OPS across AA and AAA at age 22 . He hit 16 HRs in 310 PAs, which is a pace of 28.5 for 551 PAs. Schwarber did have an unsustainable BABIP of around .390-.400 though. He then came up and put up a .842 OPS in the majors at 22. Jimenez has a .798 OPS so far this year in around 8...

Adding onto this, the last horsefeathers glove corner outfielder to be a real MVP consideration is probably Jose Bautista? Like you have to be an absolutely incredible hitter to be *THAT* valuable when your defensive value is so limited. I feel like I'm the only one actually looking at Eloy's perfo...
