Yes that’s exactly what I was doing when I said that the Brewers and Cards have the same type of September schedule as we do.

Try again.

Re: 2019 Cubs schedule

But, hey, the Cubs don’t get any off days in September. I was just looking at the schedule to see who we start off with next year and noticed this also. We have 6 off days in March and April. 3 of those are because of various home openers (Texas, Atlanta and ours). But we've also got an off day bet...

Made this thread just to laugh at the fact that the Browns are real close to having 2 ties 5 weeks into the season. edit: and they get the W with 2 seconds to spare 3 ties. They nearly tied the Raiders last week also. And the Saints game they missed a FG that would have sent it to OT. They’re also ...

Why are the Cubs obligated to positively affect his life? I'd rather they positively affect the fanbase watching them by demonstrating that domestic violence has serious consequences. They aren't obligated. But wouldn't it be great if they used the influence to at least try. Not for Addison Russell...

On the record as no for Harper. Like you don’t want him or don’t think we get him? Don’t want him because I’m a big fraidy cat who thinks every big contract we sign is going to hamstring us when their shoulder or wrist or knee gives out. https://media.giphy.com/media/oskoZyFO0II2Q/giphy.gif

Eh, with the media rights deals coming up and a drop in attendance both there’s going to be some pressure. This was a pretty boring and frustrating Cubs team during the regular season. Haven’t they jacked up ticket prices the last couple seasons? I feel like that could be just as big of a reason th...

Re: General Baseball Chit-Chat Thread

So deGrom ended the year with 24 straight quality starts, which matches what Jake did between 15 and 16. Jake pitched better than deGrom (more innings, fewer hits, same number of walks, ERA of 0.86 vs. 1.67) but it's not like deGrom pitched poorly. Jake went 20-1 during his run. deGrom went 7-9. Goo...

Maybe they should have called a timeout to get a better play in.

Oh wait, they called two timeouts, the second of which also prevented them from having a chance to get the ball back with 20-30 seconds left.

Also not surprising at all that Javy and Willy also have huge splits between low/medium leverage and high leverage. Both seem to go up there anxious in a big spot like they'll swing at anything.
