Re: College Football - Week 3 (Sept. 14)

I do hope the illini avoid their same mistakes as far as going after a successful non power 5 or an out of the box pick and go after one of the better assistants who is a proven recruiter. They have no excuse for settling on coaches. As I said, they have the same cut of Big 10 money as OSU or Michi...

Re: College Football - Week 3 (Sept. 14)

Is it your posiotion that Derwood (and Truffle) are not allowed to express any opinion about anything in college football for the rest of their lives without getting this crap lobbed at them? Because that was a complete non sequitur. They probably shouldn’t ever talk crap about any other program ev...

Maybe they can bring Andrew Garfield back and continue the Ultimate spidey franchise.

Or they can reboot live spiderman for the fourth time in fifteen or so years.

Yay?

Re: The Ball is Insanely Juiced

Is the potential solution to the strikeouts/walks/home runs era to keep this juiced ball and then slowly build gigantic ballparks? I am open to that being a terrible idea for some reason I'm not thinking of, but my perception is that would create a lot more action both in the field and on the bases...

Re: The Ball is Insanely Juiced

Well, you could make Wrigley about 4-5 feet "bigger" by removing the basket. After that you're out of luck.

Russell has the second highest OPS behind Rizzo's .866 in losses at .844 and has a .798 OPS in 38 starts yet people think he was costing us games because they can't see past the off the field stuff. 1) This might be the most meaningless split I've ever seen 2) If you really want to use it...you're ...

My disappointment would (so far this is all internet spec and I might be getting miffed for nothing) largely lie in handing the keys to the one of the worst receivers in the league whom hasn't shown much interest in improving his game. Are you talking about Willson Contreras? The converted infielde...

It kind of cracks me up that the one original cabinet member that managed to mostly keep his head down and out of controversy is doofus Rick Perry.

Mostly it just depresses and enrages me, though.

Re: Politics & Current Events

The post-Trump rehabilitation of all the GOP enablers is gonna be pure joy to watch. Most #nevertrump'ers are gonna be on that train, opting to pretend Trump was an anomaly rather than a natural outgrowth of modern Conservatism. But the performative lecturing will be fun. They're actually getting a...
