Well no, Kellogg and Twomey were really well known HS recruits that never got better but I thought...

Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat

Smyly will also be in play once we get to late July / early August.

Hopefully, our problem will be that we have too many effective starters for the stretch run and playoffs.

Re: NL Central Also-Rans: Reds, Brewers, Pirates

....It will be interesting to see how they plug holes this season, while talented they definitely could use some help at the deadline or other teams(like us) could pass them with big acquisitions. This is my favorite part. uh, what holes? We have exactly one player with expiring control after this ...

I forget, what is the penalty for blowing past your allotment? Is it two first rounders taken away? Or is there more?

Re: 2018 Actual MLB Draft Day(s) Thread

I thought this draft was supposed to be a "we can't miss" type of thing this season? I know...Theo-speak, but I'm just kinda surprised. :dontknow: If this was in response to a third round pick, I’m confused. He seems safe with a successful wood bat pedigree. No, I'm reacting to the draft ...

Re: 2018 Actual MLB Draft Day(s) Thread

I love the job Theo + crew have done as much as anyone. However, I feel like they are getting more praise than they deserve for the drafting job they've done with the Cubs. I'm more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on the first round college hitter. But what else have they done in...

Re: Regular Season Rumors

I kind of expect us to just add nominal pieces this year. A pen arm and a back end guy, to help with the back half. Since we don't have many days off. Agree. I’d rather go quantity that quality.
