Re: NFL Playoffs

Anyone else happy that it was Alshon's horsefeathers up that ended the Eagles season? I'm still mad about last week, the Bears were the better team and putzed it all away. Rooting for KC the rest of the way, anything to marginally bother STL people..... Then you should be rooting for the Rams.

I didnt like the draft pick. But now i love it. You didn't like the pick or the fact that they traded to do it? I don't remember anybody on earth not liking that pick. Mr. "I remember a play in the 3rd inning of a game in early May in 2001" doesn't remember all the people who hated the Tr...

Re: Is there a sports cards discussion?

Someday I'm going to pay for college with the metric ton of late 80's and early 90's cards I have somewhere at my parents' house! Surely they've done nothing but explode in value, right? When I moved to Madison, I decided I was tired of them taking up space to I went to the local card collectors st...

Re: Week 11: Vikings at Chicago Sunday night on NBC

This might make sense if the wind was pushing his kicks way off the mark. But he was hitting uprights. 4 times. honestly, it kind of reminds me of Goulds first year where he was missing (and missing a lot). That time, it was def the wind causing most of his misses. But if it isn't the wind or ball ...

Carlos O'Kelly's (Mexican restaurant if you couldn't tell) in Rockford was a highlight of my childhood. Like seriously, it was a place people in my family would pick for birthdays. Rockford has some good breweries these days at least. It's been a couple of years since I've been there, but Social is...

pure laziness. If I'm somewhere giving a flu shot, I get it, but that has happens about 2 times in the last 5 years.

Sounds like I hit too close to home with some of you. The self righteousness is so over the top it's ridiculous. I really think half of you (the half that think Rizzo is a fair target here) don't understand the difference between thinking like a critic and thinking critically. You're the only self ...

Saw them in concert twice. That was a big step up for Carman. I had one of their albums, the one with that hoorrible flood song on it. The church I went to would have these flea marketish things that included bundles of used CDs. Superunknown and ....ha, Jars of Clay for... a dollar?! SOLD. I simil...

Just what the Rockies need-another outfielder.

They could use a good one, though.

Then why would they want Almora? Hey-Oh!

10 Day DLing people for sun burn is actually genius, checkmate Dodgers! Haha, it was actually Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. https://twitter.com/philgrogers/status/1015986254566100993?s=21 My nephew was kind enough to give that to me a couple of years ago. Words cannot describe how painful it was.

Re: General Baseball Chit-Chat Thread

If you wanna see pitchers hit dingers, let them have a some kind of hitting competition during the all star break or something. That's as bad as his slippery slope argument. Relegating any pitcher batting to some kind of exhibition is as bad as saying that the adoption of the DH will lead to a DH a...

Assuming no other injuries I’d say I’m almost certain Monty will be back in his swing man role once Darvish is back. That’s where he’s most valuable. We have some long stretches of games in the 2nd half (and a double header or two) so it wouldn’t surprise me to see him get some more starts when the...

Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat

It's looking like Montgomery is forcing his way into the starting rotation. TT is driving the bandwagon, but I'm definitely on board. The Cubs will probably want to watch his innings closely. Last year, he pitched 130 innings, so I would think a 20% increase to 150 innings is probably a fair limit f...
