Re: CDC Info on COVID-19 (Corona virus)
So are we seeing a Christmas bump in new cases or is this still catching up on the backlog from Christmas and New Years? Or is it too early to know yet? The 7 day rolling average had leveled off the couple weeks before Christmas but it’s been climbing the past few days. We definitely had a Christma...

They are just sitting on every short pass and stuffing the box. Gotta start shooting for some 10-15 yard passes.

Re: CDC Info on COVID-19 (Corona virus)
If you're not symptomatic, probably not. Correct. You can certainly transmit it being asymptomatic (as high as 59% of cases may be transmitted from an asymptomatic person) but the current guidelines state you can end quarantine 10 days after your positive test if there have been no symptoms. So you...

I thought for sure that the robbie missed extra point and/or missed field goal was going to be what let arizona win the game and ultimately keep the bears out of the playoffs.

Playing in the finals this week. I assembled a record breaking team. My opponent in the semifinal didn't know what hit him. Darren Waller went off on Thursday night, Josh Allen went crazy on Saturday afternoon and Aaron Jones went berzerk on Saturday night. I was up 187-24 (3 players each) before t...

Full size or mini? My beer fridge is about waist height and can hold roughly 24 bottles, 36 12 ounce cans, and 24 pint cans at once.

I also wonder if all of this will change how people handle sickness and work. What should happen is that it becomes more normalized to actually take time off work if you are sick. What may happen is people will still come to work sick, but hopefully will wear a mask. Probably wishful thinking; peopl...

I wonder if I hate wheat beers because they are impossible to make, or because they just taste bad naturally. I suppose it depends on what kind of wheat beers you are drinking. Hefewizens use a distinctive yeast that I find soapy and dislike. But more american type wheat beers that use different ye...

Re: Beer Thread 2.0
I think a big part of the problem is that recipes don't scale up linearly. A good example of this is Oberon. When it was small batch, it was amazing. Then bells ramped up production, and it lost that potent orange flavor, tasting more like a horsefeathers macro brew. It took a while, but it would a...

Won the raffle for jewel and got to pick up all 7 variants. The store I went to (jewel on 75th in woodridge) also allowed for unlimited purchase of the standard, kentucky fog, carmella, and the coffee one, and had a decent supply. So if you are in the area and want some, stop by.

It's probably too soon to say anything, but it looks like Illinois may have leveled off. The positivity rate more than tripled over the course of a month starting in early October, but it has held steady at ~12.5% for the last week. IMO it looks like closing indoor dining stopped the bleeding, but ...
