Trump is nuts. https://media1.tenor.com/images/15690b829ed2ae9b986ffb81fcef8c68/tenor.gif?itemid=10533287 It’s just so remarkable and in plain sight for everyone to see, yet somehow the sh!t show continues. This morning he tweeted that he had the most viewed SOTU address ever. It’s not even close t...

Re: NSBB Recipes or How I Learned to Love the Crockpot

Chicken thighs in the crockpot are way better. The fat really makes a difference. And yes, the lower cost doesn't hurt either. I usually wait until the large pack goes on sale for 99 cents a pound and just dump it all in with some seasonings and chicken broth.

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

In CubInNY’s defense, chicken breasts are about the worst thing to put in a crockpot, so Derwood’s example was terrible. The carnitas that were mentioned are amazing though. I just killed the last of the batch I made in enchiladas and they were awesome. You're doing it wrong. Chicken pulls apart fo...

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

If you want crock pot amazingness, throw a pork shoulder in there with a bunch of other ingredients like diced tomatoes, spicy seasonings or hot sauce, onions, peppers, etc. Add chicken or beef stock. Beer works too, actually (not joking). Let that sit for 8 hours after you leave for work and come ...

I wasn't sure either, and a quick IMDb led me to find this move called "they came together". Looking at the cast, I can't believe I've never heard of it and this has to be the greatest movie ever.

Thanks again to those who gave me advice on dealing with the shin splints. Picked up some running shoes and haven't really had any issues since. The first time I used them my shins were sore for maybe five minutes when I stopped running, but even that was nothing compared to before. But since that ...

Can someone get this man a tan suit so we can finally get him for an impeacable offense? Or maybe he'll start putting mustard on his hockey puck steaks, then his base will finally have reason to cast him aside.

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

Stretching after a run is more beneficial than before the run. You want to stretch when your muscles are warmed up so they can actually stretch and help you increase your flexibility. That all being said, I stopped stretching before and after running years ago. Ive only got an hour to run every day,...

I'm not a professional autograph seeker, so what is typically brought for players to sign? Pictures, balls, etc? Also, what is typical for dining? Restaurants in hotel or outside? Balls are pretty common. As for food, we always walked somewhere outside the hotel. No idea where the players/org peopl...

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

Sounds like shin splints. I used to get them when I was younger, never really found a way to get rid of them, just had to run through them. I haven't had them in 15+ years though, so maybe there have been advancements in shin splint mitigation technology. One place I would focus on is your shoes tho...

I don't see anything wrong with playing the best games from the previous season in the offseason, id watch that even if it came after a horsefeathers Cubs season. The ridiculous part is how they are advertising it.

Re: Cubs sign Tyler Chatwood for 3/$38M

Is Chatwood a guy who might be groomed as a closer later in his career? without being able to strike anybody out and with a lot of walks? I doubt it. Wade Davis in 2011 as a starter: 5.1 K/9, 3.1 BB/9 Wade Davis in 2012 as a reliever: 11.1 K/9, 3.7 BB/9 Chatwood last year: 7.3 K/9, 4.7 BB/9 Not say...
