Re: Beer Thread 2.0

Stopped at binnys and picked up a 2018 BCBS, a 2017 BCBS, and a Pollyanna fun size toasted marshmallow. They also happened to have a bottle of CBS sitting on the shelf, so I paid the hefty price of 25 bucks for it. Probably not worth that price, but it's a bucket list beer.

Re: Beer Thread 2.0

I almost minor-ed in astronomy. Based on a class I took that focused on extraterrestrial life, my final Drake equation number was so small that the possibility of aliens was slim to nil. Guess I have to find something else potentially not racist.

Re: Beer Thread 2.0

Meanwhile, I'm just glad to enjoy my Belgian Trappist beers... I don't really get the point of these limited run, specially aged, ridiculously expensive beers. If we were talking about wine or bourbon, maybe, why not; I'm not in the market, but why not if you're into it. But regarding beer, are the...

Re: Beer Thread 2.0

There used to be, because otherwise you wouldn't get it. But I think nowadays, as long as you don't want some of the rarer varieties, you probably don't need to. Like 5 years ago I waited in line at 3 am in a blizzard to get bourbon barrel plead the fifth. While fun, I have no desire to do that again.

Ha that’s crazy. Fremd but I moved to NH after my sophomore year so didn’t graduate there

Ah, you grew up on the good side of the tracks.

Give me a spinach and garlic or a jalepeno/giardinera and sausage pizza and I'll eat it no matter who makes it.

My dream was always to move to San Diego. Luckily, that is probably 20 years down the road and I don't have to make any tough decisions now. But the fire thing certainly crossed my mind.

Harris County (Houston) only at 16% reporting. My buddy said there are still lines at some places. I guess that gives Beto the smallest of chances still. Ugh, I’m so deflated. Nation of half-wits ...its TEXAS man! I swear, have any of you ever been there?! My job basically dictates that I MUST move...

So I haven't really dug into the finances of elections, but is Rauner just out 70 million dollars now? Was the financial incentive to win that great to risk that much money?

I just read 538 say Donnelly is in trouble and I don't think I'm going to follow this anymore the Democrats taking the senate was always very unlikely. The big thing is to take the house and start the bonanza of corruption investigations. I was thinking more along the lines of the polls being off i...

Noon whistle was also dropping another good beer today, so i debated going there to get a growler and the new beer, but I opted against it. Mildly regretting it. Going to wait on the ipa nut until my cold goes away and I can have a clear palate. Ipa-nut was good, not great. Definitely had a nutty/m...
