Re: 2020 Schedule Released

Fitting that the last regular season game at Wrigley Field for probably at least a couple of the championship core (Bryant, Baez, Rizzo, Lester, Schwarber, Russell) will be against the Cardinals.

Re: 2020 Schedule Released

Who wants a 2021 schedule??

Won't get the Red Sox and Yankees games that we would have gotten this year, nor will we get a rescheduled London Series but that's not a surprise.

Already seeing some “Almora made a swing change and looks good” and “hopefully Almora finally gets consistent playing time to reach his potential” tweets since the start back up. How many more years is he gonna be able to pull this horsefeathers on people?!???? Since July 2018-2019 he has the worst...

There's been some speculation that Mike Trout might opt out of 2020 season, and this quote certainly makes it seem like that's a possibility: https://twitter.com/espn/status/1279105582205722624 Meanwhile...uhh Joe: https://twitter.com/BNightengale/status/1279085563031650304 Update: Boob deleted his...

Re: Summer Camp 2020

In MLB The Show, I am starting Jharel Cotton as my #5 instead of Tyler Chatwood. He's pretty decent in virtual fantasyland. He's still on the team in my RTTS. He's mediocre, put up like a 4.25 ERA or something, but our offense is otherworldly so he went like 18-2 last season, lol. Also odd, Ian Hap...

I'd imagine this will cause him to not be available on Opening Day unless he was already well into his throwing program during the hiatus.

Hawks and the Western teams to play in Edmonton. I don't think it will be a big deal without fans I don’t think it will be a huge deal but there is comfort and familiarity playing at the stadium you play at 40+ times a year, not to mention they are used to the ice conditions and how the boards play...

Re: CDC Info on COVID-19 (Corona virus)

While Arizona and the southeast are in full on nightmare mode, the places that were already hit are really starting to clear up. Illinois is now done to 25 deaths a day over the last week with only ~2.5% of tests coming back positive. New York is down to 12 deaths a day and is close to dropping und...

Re: Summer Camp 2020

Are recovered cancer patients in current good health actually higher risk? I have never seen a clear answer on this. My sister is a breast cancer survivor--it's been over 10 years now since she beat it--and her doctors haven't had an elevated level of concern for her. Not sure, but I did see an art...

Something I hadn't really considered, and given that we haven't heard anything about it yet means probably nothing to worry about, but....Lester and Rizzo are both high risk right? Joe Ross and Ryan Zimmerman from the Nats just opted out, and Mike Leake for Arizona is also opting out. Yeah, definit...

Top DFA candidates have to be a Descalso (especially for Kipnis), any of the trio of the vet RP guys like Sadler, Winkler and Tepera and maybe Maples and Robel are at least considered, IMO. I’d assume Underwood and Rea are safe just because of the ability to start. https://twitter.com/cubprospects/...
