Re: Chicago Bulls offseason

Gosh I don't know. I will fully admit that I stand a chance of being completely wrong, but I just don't see it even in a diluted eastern conference. Moving the ball better and establishing some cohesive play offensively would be great, especially with a full season from Porter, but even with him th...

Re: Chicago Bulls offseason

I think it's definitely a playoff team this year, barring huge injuries. On the optimistic, high end side I could see stuff coming together for a fun mid 40s win team. I don't wanna go too crazy and say low 50s as the ceiling but it wouldn't shock me either. A lot of the media/fans who are optimisti...

Re: Cubs Manager Search

Not that it's necessarily causal, but most of the best teams in baseball have a younger front office puppet with limited experience (or, initially, none) managing them. I'm not sure I see what can be so disastrous.

That's a weirdly strong stance.

Why?

Re: Week 5: Bears at Raiders in London (noon on Fox)

watching the Chiefs/Indy game last night there were 3 plays a punter was run into with similar force, 1 flag. It was a questionable foul. Questionable or not, the dumbass should not have been within fart smelling distance of the punter on that play. Quit blaming the officials. Next thing we know yo...

Re: Week 5: Bears at Raiders in London (noon on Fox)

Daniels, my bad. Agree with the regression there. As far as Daniel, a 90s rating is fine for a backup. Who could be a better backup at this point? It's not about getting a better player but rather better utilizing that wasted cap space. What's the point of spending that much on a garbage backup? I ...

and if you think he's that valuable in a mentorship role then why the hell not just hire him as a coach and let someone else play in these spots so whatever the hell he makes isn't cap money

edit - well yeah, that^

Re: Cubs Manager Search

Looks like this off season is off to a fine start. Maybe we could just hire bozo the clown as our new manager :nono: You couldnt pick anyone worse than any of these three choices. If Theo wants that much control than he should just select himself as the new skipper. Sorry, but this buddy buddy crap...

trade willy, sign grandal, find someone to play a good CF who isn't an abysmal hitter and gets on base a little bit. oh and get some bullpen guys from somewhere. obviously will be getting something good in return for willy... maybe that cf. horsefeathers if i know. making up trades that'll never hap...

Roquan out indefinitely. Hasn’t been acting like himself for weeks. Luckily Kwiatkowski is playing well in his place. Kwiatkoski deserved a game ball on Sunday. He looked like ass in preseason, so that was a pleasant surprise. I've always liked him. Thought he played well the last few years. It was...

Re: Week 5: Bears at Raiders in London (noon on Fox)

Does Mack really need revenge, though? He was traded to a much better situation and he got his big payday. He is probably thankful. That doesn't really change the fact that he probably feels slighted/rejected and wants to show Gruden what a moron he is. “Yes sir, yes sir,” Mack said. “I’ve been loo...

Re: Cubs Manager Search

Ross makes a lot of sense to me. He's tight with the FO so he'll probably follow their lead on roster decisions/player usage and he has both the respect and admiration of most of this roster. He's also not afraid to be an horsefeathers to them if it's called for. If magic leadership stuff exists in ...

I'd be pretty surprised if it isn't Ross.

Definitely won't be horsefeathering Girardi.
