Re: Cord Cutting advice

I did Youtube TV for a month and am now doing Hulu. The user experience with youtube is vastly superior. You also get unlimited DVR. The user interface for Hulu is kind of a disaster, but the original content they provide is better. I think after my month w Hulu, I'll likely go back to youtube. But...

Re: Cord Cutting advice

I think I finally got my wife to get over losing her Teen Mom show on MTV. We have a family vaca this week, so once we're back from that, doing the YouTube TV trial and that will likely be the plan. Just moved last week and set up internet only for now with xfinity, and the YouTube TV pricing is def...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Going more down the rabbit hole, Bears actually had the best expected W-L in the whole NFL last year at 11.5. But if you reseeded the playoffs on eW-L there would be only one change to the 12 PO teams (replace DAL with MIN). Many more changes to seeding and byes though. Long story short, Bears are w...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Another site had the Bears schedule as the #1 hardest. Not sure what metrics were different 538 had a good article last season, that prior year expected W-L (which is basically just a metric of point differential) was a better predictor of SoS than the traditional metric of prior year W-L. Last sea...

I thought this was gonna pay for...wait...am I confusing it with the tax cuts that were gonna pay for themselves, but likewise won't as the government might run out of money in the next 45 days or so? Yeah, that must be it. I'm just confusing which voodoo math is being used when. https://twitter.co...

“Every man has thought about it at least once,” Jeff argues. (He’s using a pseudonym for “obvious private reasons.”) “Like, these things come up when with close friends, you know? Especially when we’re young.”

I've literally never thought about horsefeathering a Dyson. Not even once.

Re: 2019 NBA Offseason

I don’t think they’ll win the title either but it’s probably better than just running it back with Paul again. They're gonna have to blow it up eventually. Better do it before they lose all those picks in 4-6 years frok this trade. They’re not blowing it up with James Harden in his prime though. Wh...

The Rockets are such [expletive] frauds. This is going to be the epitome of their, "well, this SHOULD work amazingly on paper, so let's just go for it" bull horsefeathers blowing up in their faces. I don’t think they’ll win the title either but it’s probably better than just running it ba...

1.Damn, the balls to actually appeal down in 2013, 6 years after you had razed that property. 2. Holy hell the incompetence of govermenment officials. Okay the 2007 permit notification mixup is one thing, but in the 2013 appeal, there isn't a site visit where you could see the blatant lie in the app...

RH Votto engaged Boy, didn't expect the Mormons to allow this. If you have enough money, any religion will pretty much allow anything... if they get their cut. https://img.buzzfeed.com/buzzfeed-static/static/2015-10/19/15/enhanced/webdr06/anigif_original-grid-image-2142-1445282068-9.gif?crop=427:28...

So it's July 4th in 2019 and there's a hashtag on Twitter for people who are pissed at a short girl playing a Disney mermaid princess. I hadn't actually seen a heightist tweet agreeing with the hashtag when boom, the obvious answer: https://twitter.com/shoe0nhead/status/1146946244566224898?s=20 Dis...

Re: Chicago Bulls offseason

Rrrrrrright, because no player wants to play in LA or NY either. Yea no kidding. After the zero state income tax teams (DAL, HOU, SA, MIA, ORL, MEM), Illinois is one of the better states to be a millionaire with its flat tax at 3.75. Only PHI and IND edge it out. So it's still like the 9th best inc...

I said it doesn't help, not that its something that shuts down any possibility of signing FAs.

You still mixed up the definition of low and high though.

Terrible front office that tends to put together middling teams and hire horsefeathers and/or hateable coaches. It's a pretty potent recipe for why big players wouldn't want to come to the Bulls. The Bulls should be the 6 to 8 seed this year, which with this young core is a nice building block season to get that experience. i'll bite on this. if you told me the end goal of the tank years was to get right back to the 6-8 spot in the East (which is where they were before they blew the whole t...

Re: Chicago Bulls offseason

Making the playoffs will be nice (even as a 6 to 8 seed), but I don't like it if it gives GarPax more job security and validation for their rebuild efforts. I don't see how they break into the elite group atop the Eastern Conference in the next few years. The only way is if Markkanen and LaVine bot...
