Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat

Not sure if this should be its own thread. A group of friends and I are looking to make a weekendish trip to Wrigley this year. I'm the only member of the group that has been before. We don't really care about a particular series. Would like to do Thurs-Fri-Sat, but I know there aren't many Thursda...

Re: On Bended Knee - The Rizzo Thread

Any time one of our players does something bad, I'm just going to plug my ears and pretend like Anthony is the only person on the team. I would be devastated to find out otherwise -- and I'm usually not deluded into thinking the best of athletes, or people, in general -- but Anthony genuinely seems...

Whoa. I have zero memory of that. Zero. I was pretty young though. The first Cubs acquisition I remember being excited over was Delino Deshields in 2001 (lol wtf- I think i just thought it was a cool name). Anyways Nomo went on to average almost 3 war/yr over the next 5 years, so lol cobs. first ac...

Re: Politics & Current Events

And this is why I'm sadly fairly confident that the Mueller investigation (or anything else) won't result in getting Trump out of office before 2021. That hinges on the GOP being willing to push him out, but I don't see how Trump ever falls to a point where enough Republican voters disapprove of hi...

Re: 2017-18 Bulls Thread - Fly the Tank W

Here's a small reason for optimism for tankers. The Bulls are 28th in the league based on expected W/L. Unlike the tank standings there is actually a decent variance between, say 22 (Dal) and 28. Perhaps the Bulls have another tank gear left, and they've done more than the rest of the bottom 10 to d...

Re: Bears 2018 Offseason: Matt Nagy Hired as Head Coach

https://twitter.com/ProFootballTalk/status/961653598412263424 One of the reasons the Bears preferred Nagy over McDaniels is that Nagy was eager to take the job. But McDaniels, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, left the Bears with apprehensions about his willingness to leave the Patriots. The Colt...

Re: 2017-18 Bulls Thread - Fly the Tank W

I think over the remainder of the season, attributing even one win to those guys is a pretty optimistic assement of their value. Random statistical noise is gonna play a bigger part in W-L. They will probably be better assets a year from now, particularly if the market ends up being less of a buyers...

Noah Vonleh and cash to Bulls. Draft rights of some obscure Serbian guy to Portland.

Portland gets under the tax. Bulls get cash, and I guess an extended look at a 22 year old 10per RFA to be.

Re: 2017-18 Bulls Thread - Fly the Tank W

Bulls trade Jameer Nelson for Willie Reed, and a swap of 2022 2nd round picks.

Luckily they are waiving Reed (wouldn't want that scum on the roster)
