Re: TV thread

Yeah, top to bottom, I should adore this show in that hits basically all of my buttons. And I DO like it, but like on the level of something that I will forget to watch and then enjoy it when I rediscover it, and on paper it seems like this should be one of my favorites. If I had to describe it, I ...

https://twitter.com/TheAthleticDET/status/911224474388791296 Pittsburgh Steelers (-7.5) at Chicago Bears Mike Glennon hasn’t even been that bad but maybe it’s time to read the writing on the wall and let Mitch Trubisky take a year’s worth of licks so you’re in a better spot next season. I shouldn't have given the collective meatball population so much credit, but it was too funny seeing the same fans bitch about exposing Gentry to waivers two weeks after he had passed through waivers unclaimed and ended up on the practice squad.

Re: Bathroom Nightmares

I walked into the bathroom at work today and was startled by the sight of a co-worker pissing in a urinal with both of his hands clasped behind his back. I just turned around and walked out. Both hands on the wall leaning over the urinal... I hope for awkwardness sake he was just in severe pain and...

That's a lot of teams claiming to lose money in a league that always seems to be telling us how much money they are bringing in (obviously don't know what kind of accounting shenanigans some may be pulling or if it's part of some owners plans to run at a loss, but still). https://twitter.com/zachlo...

Re: Game 2: bears at bucs, noon on fox

Why is it assumed that developing on the bench is superior to just playing? I feel like every discussion on this topic just assumes this to be true and goes from there. That's weird because I do not feel that is the assumption at all. In fact, I think the majority assume it is better to play rather...

anyway, I predict the bears lose by 4 touchdowns with the lone highlight being a sack by Floyd on the first play of the game and him being injured on it as well. And then when walking off the field, he slams his helmet in frustration which hits his backup, also injuring him for the season. A giant ...

Weis, there's no doubt that if Cook county wanted to go all big brother on people's health they could implement taxes on every poor nutrition decision (or potential decision) The beverage tax is low hanging fruit. Of course not, which is why I think the "they're doing it to make people healthy" line is a joke. Would it be nice if some people quit smoking or drinking crap as a result of the tax? Sure. But this is a ton of money for the county, so they're counting on people continuing with their vice...

Re: Politics & Current Events

Given that places like McDonalds charge the same price for a fountain drink no matter what size you order (maybe just iced tea, but even then it's only like 10 cent difference), wouldn't it make sense to just regulate the size of drinks that can be sold at all those places? Well, the size ban alrea...
