Re: Cubs trade Eloy, Cease, others for Quintana

I'm so sick of hearing guys like Kaplan talk about how Quintana isn't an ace and the Cubs paid the price of a true number one starter for someone that isn't an ace. 1. What is these guy's definition of an ace? 2. How many guys fit their definition? 3. Would Eloy and Cease be enough to get one? (Ans...

I start charging mine when it drops below 80%. My wife might hunt for the charger when she drops below 10%. Of course my desire to charge my phone stems from having it at around 40% when we lost power for 4 days after a wind storm. So I'm not that crazy. That's why you have 3 portable chargers full...

Please explain the joke here that I am missing, thanks

I'm guessing it has something to do with Jed's odd usage of "drop of a dime" and Castro's numerous criminal incidents in the DR.

Yes. "Dropping a dime" vs "the drop of a hat"

Re: The Starting Pitching Trade Candidates

Wily Peralta continues to really struggle for the Brewers, has been moved to the pen for a few weeks now, I still really like him as a buy low guy if he gets DFA'd or they look to trade him for pennies on the dollar. I think there could be an elite relief pitcher in there if not a middle rotation s...

Re: It's HAPPening!

I know this is well covered territory, but I never get sick about reading arguments about getting everyone enough playing time because we have too many good players. I love it. I don't love that Almora has been relegated to a bench role though. I'd rather he be getting reps in Iowa. It is nice that...

Re: It's HAPPening!

Point is, if Happ were to stay up, they'd want him playing every day. Almora, Schwarber, and Heyward would also need regular playing time. Sending down LaStella just sends down a guy you don't have to worry about getting reps. Sending down Almora leaves Heyward as the regular CF(or Jay, which defea...

I'm really beginning to think he (Happ) survives the activation of Heyward. But I don't think replacing Tommy LaSeala provides enough playing time. Any chance Almora (doghouse?) gets sent down?
