Re: Cubs Picking Up Hamels Option, Trading Smyly to Rangers

I absolutely love this board. Mini side arguement about whether or not a guy can be considered “intriguing”.

Priceless!

Re: The Pitching Staff, as a whole

What about the opposite of a 6-man rotation. What if a team had 2-3 really good starters, and then bullpenned the other days with a really superior bullpen? Could it work?

The QB was looking the other way and he drove into him, lifted him off the ground, then lifted his own feet to drive him into the ground with his weight. What direction the QB is looking DOES NOT MATTER. He didn't lift him off the ground. He ran into him and he tackled him. It was a sack. If this i...

Some people are putting waaayy too much stock into only three games. Heck, a bunch of these guys hardly played during preseason. The good teams will rise, and there will be plenty of good teams.

Look, it’s a great comeback, no doubt. And I get it. He had multiple back surgeries. As a sufferer of minor back issues for most of my adult life, I have great sympathy for anyone that endures even slight back problems. I just get a little tired of the love fest for him, that’s all. He’s a tremendou...

Lots of adversity - yes.

Most improbable in the history of sports. Not so certain.

The love fest was a bit much. Why can't we give negative hearts? “Most improbable comeback in the history of sports.” That was said multiple times in the telecast. C’mon. He’s a great player that had to overcome a lot of adversity (some self induced). And it’s very good for golf ratings and anyone ...

Monty moving from the rotation to the pen is a big boost (obviously). That would've happened with Morrow and/or Strop anyway. But it still bolsters the pen a good bit.
