Re: NFL Week 11

Turns out Brees actually has 11 broken ribs. So the dude led a 5 play touchdown drive (all places) in 30 seconds with 11 broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Yikes. So is he out for the season? That sounds serious enough not to mess around with by trying to soldier through until fully healed. They say...

Incomplete pass stops clock. Injury can stop play clock without run off.

Holy horsefeathers is right. This would have been a flag twenty years ago. https://twitter.com/aldosoto21/status/1320442132109258753?s=21 I remember Mike Singletary had a similar hit on a Dallas QB (Steve Pelluer?) and it literally knocked him unconscious. Wilbur Marshall pummeled Joe Ferguson and ...

Lots of losses in Ricky's managerial career. But he's had to at least have fun watching the development of young players enter the league the past 7-8 years.

Re: NFL Week 5

Zimmer is an idiot. Should've gone for two to put them up by 6. If he misses the 2-pt conversion, there's really no difference between being up by 4 or 5. A TD still beats you. And then it would've made the 4th down call easy -go for the FG and be up 7 or 9. But that jacka$s made the wrong decision...

https://live.staticflickr.com/7152/6584512463_2ca67b54f8_b.jpg I was a fan a JJ. ALways seemed like he was having fun. I remember he always seemed like a big power hitter in the batter's box, but really was never much of one. Twenty year career for "jag". Good for you JJ and rest in peace!

Re: NFL Week 3

Buyer beware for any team that mortgages their draft future for any QB. History shows there are very few #1 overall QBs taken that turn out to be the best player from their draft, let alone a franchise changer. More often than not, their hype is greater than their careers.

You're referring to the Packers, right? No I wasn't,' but you know that. The Packers beat two teams that haven’t won, so I don’t put much stock in their 2-0 start. But wins are wins. oh don't be so sensitive. besides, your team gets to play a team whose QB has clearly aged past his best years, you ...

Re: Week 3: Chicago BEARS @ Atlanta Falcons

Think about everything they had to overcome. Down 16 in the 4th quarter, they had TWO TDs overturned and both resulted in a loss of possession. They made a QB switch mid game, they didn’t get the 2 point conversion that would have made it a 1 possession game. They lost their backup RB and punt retu...

Why is he saying there’s a question whether the Bears go with Foles? Incredible comeback by the Bears. Just perfect in every way. I’ll probably regret this but that’s how good teams win football games. Think about everything they had to overcome. Down 16 in the 4th quarter, they had TWO TDs overtur...
