Re: Politics & Current Events

It seems more likely that javy knows my name just didn't realize the actual numbers of a 60/40 split, and was just spitballing seeing Trump winning re-election despite a pretty damn big PV deficit. I doubt he honestly thought Trump could end up with 20-25 million fewer popular votes. Correct, I was...

Re: Politics & Current Events

I don't think one can be too paranoid/careful about this. The Republicans are able to permit threats to our national security as long as it benefits them, and you know the Russians aren't gonna try the same horsefeathers they tried last time - they'll be smarter about it. At my doom-boneriest, I co...

Re: Politics & Current Events

If you look at the 2016 map, the only blue states that I can even remotely see as risks to flip would be Nevada and New Mexico, and both just elected D senators(one flipping the seat) by solid margins. Even then they combine for 11 votes. On the other hand, you have: Pennsylvania (20): D the previo...

That was the good stuff. Did Sondland make a sour face or just keep grinning?

Sourface. He clearly wished he hadn't protested by the end of it

For those who can't watch...is there any question that Sondland is the famed "first-hand witness" that the GOP has been claiming the dems haven't been able to produce?

Re: Kris Bryant is awesome and we were always right to love him

Now that he and Boas have folded, inevitable due to leverages, it becomes time to discuss whether extending him is Worth It as far as Value. Bryant is Aging and with Aging comes Declining and only that. From there ever since he won the Golden Spikes, went two in the draft, signed a franchise record...

You must have missed Almora grading out as the 2nd-worst defensive CF in the NL last year.

Now this is a total pet peeve, but there's a guy here who ends every damn conversation with some variation of, "OK, I'll let you get back to work now," or, "I'll let you get going." Granted, this is even more annoying since the guy overall is terrible, but [expletive], what a la...

I'm now realizing you are getting it confused with The Outer Worlds, which is Obsidian's answer to Fallout. This was just released on GamePass (which is super rad). The game we were referring to was The Outer WILDS. Speaking of THE OUTER WORLDS IS HERE AND I'M HAPPY AF See you next year. P.S. Get G...

After living in something like 24 different addresses before age 30, I've happily lived at the same address for over 12 years. I would happily live here another 12 if it meant not moving again (though my wife and I have discussed downsizing immediately after our youngest is off to college in 5 or 6...

Like, if we're not going to bother to see Walt's self-destruction out to the end, then you might as well have had something like Mike just capping him before driving off into the sunset. We've both left out Lydia's fate to this point, which is primo Selfish Walt. That's just pure spite and cruelty ...

Don't know where i belong; but the reason i don't go to Mlb games much any more is the bums make too much $$$ for very little talents. I guess i grew up watching a different game in the 1950's and 1960's when players thought they were lucky to have people pay to watch them and kids idolized these s...

Witness the power of pizza. Food science news isn’t always gloom and doom. Silvao Gallus, an Italian scientist, has led three studies that investigate the health benefits of eating pizza. “A good pizza,” he concluded, “comprises all the virtues of the Mediterranean Diet.” For this important work, r...

What if bench players had to be pre-arb/arb-eligible only? Would be more faithful to the traditional "wild card," as you'd need to dig deep instead of finding a bounceback guy already on a long-term deal due to their prior dong prowess.

YESSSS Side poll - which followup season was more disappointing? True Detective season 2 or Fargo season 3?
