Re: Politics & Current Events

Moderates exist. It's "undecided voters" that don't exist. Or, more generally, "people who sometimes vote R and sometimes vote D, depending on blah blah blah". I don't know a single person who does that, and neither does anyone else It's rare, but my parents are in that group. B...

Re: NBA 2019-20 Season Thread

Gonna be soooooo great when the Warriors rest up from March to October, get 100% healthy, get the #1 pick and resume their dynasty with only a short weird season with a tainted championship bridging the 2 eras This is going to be arguably the worst draft of all time at least. There’s so little tale...

https://twitter.com/LasVegasLocally/status/1255589609636937730?s=20 Season and then playoffs I'm assuming? I'm sure they're going to have a week or 2 of practice to get back in game shape. They won't get done til August. Maybe even Sept. Draft/FA like 2 days after Finals end then training camp/pre ...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

we dont need a safety You're comfortable with Bush starting? I don't mind him starting to see what we got, but I'm not opposed to bring in competition for that spot. Plus we're REALLY thin on depth if Bush or Jackson gets hurt. I would like to have that capable backup as insurance whether it's Bush...

The mother horsefeathering Lakers got a PPP loan. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting on further word and have received no funding. The horsefeathering Lakers. They did, but they also gave it back from what I've read. It's just amazing how easy all these big/profitable/etc. companies are able to apply/acc...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Last I saw, Eric Berry was still a free agent. He took a whole year off to nurse his injuries. Fresh legs. He hasn't played more than 2 games in a season since 2016 due to his Achilles injury and then having a bunch of setbacks from that injury. He'll also be 32 sometime this year. With that type o...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Neither of you make any sense. He's a B- player, but the pick is a failure? WTF does that even mean? I understand that he was a top 10 pick and should have an A player. But him being a failed pick because he's a B- instead of an A is some Ricky Bobby "if ya ain't first ya last" type of BS...

what the hell is a C then?

A- HOF
B- Multiple All Pros
C- Multiple Pro Bowls
D- Multiple years of being top 10 at a position
F- Average starter or worse

is what I'm guessing his grade scale.

Sounds like we still have the other 5th Rd pick. Traded next year's 4th for this pick. I’ll take it. We have a bunch of picks next year I believe Edit: though I guess the value chart shows that the bears lost the trade Nope. We just have rd 1-3,5,6 pick for next years draft. We should be getting so...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Draft grades are meaningless so I should probably stop this post now but since I know little about prospects I looked at a few. Everyone is panning the Kmet pick and loving the Johnson pick. Love WalterFootball’s writeup on Kmet Chicago Bears: Cole Kmet, TE, Notre Dame - O'BRIEN Grade Ryan Pace nee...

Re: CDC Info on COVID-19 (Corona virus)

In May of 2009 pharmaceutical companies started making a H1N1 vaccine. By November it was being administered. By “making a vaccine,” does it mean all the initial testing was completed and they moved to the manufacturing side or did they just make the H1N1 vaccine from beginning to end a lot faster?...

Maybe the 40 is stupid to go by for an OL, but the 1.7 10 yd split is not. For comparison, Aaron Donald was 1.63 and 35 lbs lighter. It's really damn impressive Wirfs did at the combine.

I love the whole ending at the station myself. Perfect way to end it.

So I know there's an unrated director's cut, but heard that it doesn't add much to the movie itself. Just a couple scenes extended. Is that true?

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Yeah, Pace's history with trading down in the 2nd have resulted in a 2nd and 4th rounder, but all of his trade downs have been 5-8 picks later IIRC. I think you could get a 3rd if it was 10 picks difference which is why I picked Baltimore as the example. Another option would be trading for a later 2...

Which one would you rather have? Rd 2 pick 11 (from LV) Rd 2 pick 18 Rd 4 ??? (projected Amos comp)- which is after 4th round so pick 33+ depending on how many comp picks Rd 5 pick 18 Rd 6 pick 17 Rd 6 pick 21 (from PHI) Rd 7 pick 12 (from LV) Rd 7 pick 19 Or let's say trade the Bears 2nd for Ravens...
