Shane Combs is not a guy that you would think would take $50K to sign.

Good stuff about Oquendo, though. What little I've been able to find about him seems interesting.

Quintero comes in at #6 and Made #8 on FG's IFA board. Altuve isn't in their top 40.

Re: 2019 Actual MLB Draft Day(s) Thread

Wes Saver has the signing amounts for a bunch of guys past the top 10. Not surprising, but none listed have been over the $125K limit. Collier/Laskey/Bigge/Reynolds have all gotten $125K. He also retweeted this from Johzan Oquendo:

Re: Minor League Discussion & Boxes, 6-19-19

Excited to see Nunez in the rotation , hopefully he'll stay there even with the influx of 19 draftees (even if they only get 30Ip) May I ask why? Legit question, no snark intended. Projection, they seem to be doing better with LA pitchers with Nunez, he's still adding strength with a FB that sits l...

Re: 2019 Actual MLB Draft Day(s) Thread

With Strumpf getting slot, that leaves $1,616,345 for McAvene, Hearns, and Hendrie when the 5% overage is included. Something like $550K for McAvene, $1 million for Hearns, and $60K for Hendrie feels right.

Barnette with his 8th straight scoreless appearance in Iowa, he doesn’t have a ton of time left on the 60 day/his rehab time before he needs to be added back to the 40-man (there’s plenty of guys to not care about losing for him so that’s not a big deal, Randy, Collins, Zagunis, Webster to name a f...

BA's Cubs midseason player of the year: Chicago (NL): RHP Tyson Miller Double-A Tennessee The Cubs’ breakout pitcher of the year is also the system’s best. He recorded a 2.49 ERA with 64 strikeouts, 13 walks and three home runs allowed in 68.2 innings. I get a bit confused with the wording in these...

Semi-bonus baby Rafael Morel is smacking the piss out of the ball down in the DSL. 3 for 5 today puts him at .385/.457/.692 on the young season (10 games). 6 BBs to 5 Ks. These stats are meaningless in the grand scheme of things, but always better to ball out than not.

Re: 2019 Actual MLB Draft Day(s) Thread

They chose Ethan Hearn, which seems like a weird choice to me. The more I read about him the less I like the pick. I don't think this was a good selection and HS catchers are a super dangerous demographic and have a high bust rate. Then again, it was a 6th round pick. Just depends on how much the C...

Jensen is really interesting to me. Certainly not who I would have picked, but he had helium and provides a power arm in a system with very very few of them in the rotation. Strumpf is a super “meh” pick for me. HATE those k rates for a player that won’t provide defensive or base running value. I’m ...

I think they locked in his stride, looking at his HS and UL delivery his stride was inconsistent. Also, coming off TJS will take time. He only had 48 IP of college. Hopefully, he makes it as a starter as he's top 5 in organization as far as pure stuff ahead of former 1st rounders . I don't know who...
