The Mets have also indicated that they prefer not to be dealing from their dwindling farm system right now, instead preferring to leverage their available dollars.

Alright, some of you convinced me. I just took step 1 by deactivating Facebook. I still have several other social media accounts (including FB messenger), but baby steps, I guess. At some point if I delete for good I will probably want to go pull down all the photos and stuff, but I'll see how this...

Re: The Politics Thread

The only difference between the Mitts of the GOP and the Trumps is means, not outcome. I suppose that might be seen as significant by some. Not by me. So, you're suggesting that Mitt Romney supports authoritarian rule but does it by gentler means? I mean, I feel dirty defending the guy and am gross...

IMO one of the most impactful things you can do as an individual is get off Facebook and help normalize other means for its popular features that aren't just outrage/ad megaphones. E.g. encouraging group texts/Whatsapp over Messenger for a fantasy league/softball team, using public albums w/ your p...

Re: The Politics Thread

True, but there are still people (not Trump supporters) who don't think exercising Constitutional powers is worth the time. I suppose the thinking goes, "unless you do A and it results in B, why bother?" There is seemingly no perceived value in simply doing what should be done, simply for...
