Re: Video Game Thread

This is the first mega game that I’m trying for 100% on and it isn’t easy. Spent 6 hours the other day looking for a [expletive] parakeet and still never found it. I’m glad there is no way to keep up with hours played on this game because it would be frightening/depressing to see how many hours I’ve...

Re: Video Game Thread

Is there a way to know if someone is watching you while you loot? The bounty I have was from looting a body out in the middle of the woods somewhere....who saw me do it? It wasn't like I was in Valentine shooting up the place That’s a gripe I have with the game. You can be up in the damn mountains ...

Re: Video Game Thread

Thanks. I hate the "hint" system they employed for this game. These notifications up in the corner of the screen pass by really quickly, and it's hard to pay attention to the hint, steer the horse and listen to the dialogue all at the same time I’m not sure what you’re talking about with ...

Re: Video Game Thread

Oh and for all you folks still playing the storyline, don’t skip out on the camp missions. Also, take the time to sit down and talk to people in camp and hang around the campfire. There are a ton of cool stories and background info about the gang that you only find out by just sitting around the fir...

Re: Video Game Thread

Does the bounty ever expire? I’ve had people kill me over it and when I respawn, the bounty is stil there Bounties only go away if you surrender to the police or if you pay it (obviously) Surrendering to law enforcement can be fun though. Often times when you are taken to jail there is a cut scene ...

Re: Video Game Thread

I am not starting off well in this game. I have a $110 bounty on my head, and I lost the Legendary Bear Pelt when I got ambushed (by people trying to claim the bounty). Not sure if you like knowing this stuff or figuring it out yourself but there is a gold bar you can find relatively close to the C...

Re: Lee Smith, Harold Baines elected to HOF

I posted this on another board when someone claimed that the HOF had already jumped the shark with Tim Raines and that Baines' induction really wasn't all that different... Categories where they ranked in the Top 10 in a season and where they ranked within the Top 10 that season: Raines BA: (4 times...

His 27 season he stole 3 bases and was caught 16 times lol. Career 74 stolen with 72 caught.

That may also be a record...

Good grief. Adam Dunn probably had a better percentage.

Re: College Football - Bowl Games

An 8 team playoff is the most obvious thing ever. The five Power 5 champs, one G5 selection, and two at-large selections. I've said it a million times on this board and I'm convinced it would be glorious. You have the four quarter final games all on New Years Day. They can rotate access bowls. A hyp...

Re: Baseball History Thread

No Offense, But Adam Ottavino Would Make Babe Ruth Look Like A Sack Of Pig horsefeathers I’ll be damned. The video of Ruth they linked in that story was a video I created like ten years ago. Some wanker stole it and put it on their channel apparently. That comment is funny, but not really accurate....

Re: Lee Smith, Harold Baines elected to HOF

i'd vote for him, but worth noting his career road stats are basically Mark Grace plus a dash of SLG great hitter regardless but specifically his power output largely a byproduct of Coors That's a really good comparison actually. Incidentally, Helton wore No. 17 because of Gracie . puke you leave t...

Re: Lee Smith, Harold Baines elected to HOF

I'm thinking this year's class is going to be Rivera, Mussina, Halladay, and Edgar.

I'll be interested to see what numbers Pettitte and Helton get.

Re: Lee Smith, Harold Baines elected to HOF

Does Todd Helton get voted in? I think he eventually gets in, but will he be voted in? He's 19th All-Time in OPS and 19th in Doubles. 133 Career OPS+. Once had a single season where he led the league in hits, doubles, RBI, BA, OBP, SLG, OPS, and Total Bases. He was also a very proficient fielder. Ca...

Re: Lee Smith, Harold Baines elected to HOF

I've always been a "big Hall" guy, who thinks almost every borderline case should probably get the nod. So I'm trying to look at this bizarre election of Harold Baines and think about what it could mean for guys like Todd Helton, Gary Sheffield, Kenny Lofton, Jim Edmonds, Andruw Jones, Fr...

More stats showing the absolute absurdity of this selection: According to Baseball Reference, his HOF Monitor score is 67. This ties him with Mookie Betts (already), Javy Lopez, and Brian McCann. Random players with higher HOF Monitor scores: Vinny Castilla, Paul O'Neill, Giancarlo Stanton, Carlos L...

Pie Traynor is the only position player in the HOF with a lower WAR (36.3) than Baines (38.7).
