Good to see you're safe!

We should create a check-in thread so that all the long timers who only occasionally visit can let us know they're alive.

I had a customer pay an invoice for the first time in a month today. So that was nice.

Re: Small business owners thread

Woo-hoo!

Congratulations! Your loan application has received a loan number from the SBA as part of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

I have no date from the lender on when I'll get the money, though.

Re: Politics & Current Events

Two thoughts: 1. This is pretty much just Texas and Florida swinging. 2. The Senate is obsolete in terms of representation. But, that was the point of the Senate, wasn't it? To keep states with lower populations represented? What we need is policies addressing the needs of both urban and rural area...

Re: Small business owners thread

I received notification of the $10,000 advance but not the money. I did as well. It just says: "The Advance is available as part of the full EIDL application and will be transferred into the account you provide shortly after your application is submitted." I assume that this means the app...

Re: The Cooking Thread

I made everyone a custom omelette this morning (along with other stuff). Tonight I'm grilling some chicken where I'll put a variety of rubs on the different pieces to suit each person's taste. Key thing is just to remember which is which. Not sure what I'll do for the sides yet. My wife and I split ...

Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat

Latest Forbes report says Cubs are worth $3.2 Billion, not a bad return on spending $845 million in 2009. So why did we have to sit out this offseason free agency? There are many ways to answer your question, but the $3.2B figure isn't the best. It's not a "return," it's a valuation. A si...

Re: Small business owners thread

This is a bit disheartening. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/09/business/smallbusiness/small-business-disaster-loans-coronavirus.html If every applicant received the maximum $10,000 grant, the funding would cover around one million businesses. But more than three million applied for disaster loans ...

Tonight’s episode was horsefeathering intense. Gilligan brought the heat again as usual. Kim really horsefeathers up tonight, though. One way or another this will lead to her not being around for Breaking Bad. Just caught up. What the hell was Kim thinking she was going to accomplish there? There w...
