Re: Politics & Current Events

That'd be a great plan (monitoring everyone's body temp) if we didn't have this whole massive uncounted number of asymptomatic carriers/spreaders thing going on. they can then resume flying people in from all over the world . . . you would have to be insane or very very stupid and arrogant to go to...

Re: CDC Info on COVID-19 (Corona virus)

My son's little league coach just sent a group text that we are scheduled to start on May 11. I'm still amazed by the people who just expect everything to bounce back to normal in a couple weeks. I can't imagine any youth sports happening in the next few months. where is your glass case of emotion?

Re: Politics & Current Events

What none of these governors/mayors are talking about is what their plan is (spoiler: they don't have one) if they "open" their states/cities again, but the economy doesn't bounce back (spoiler again: it won't for a long time) The mayor of Las Vegas wants restaurants and casinos to open a...

Re: CDC Info on COVID-19 (Corona virus)

Can anyone explain why Sweden is said to be close to hitting herd immunity without a lockdown, and were never overwhelmed with not enough hospital beds or ventalators? https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/22/no-lockdown-in-sweden-but-stockholm-could-see-herd-immunity-in-weeks.html Its neighbors closed bord...

In case anyone was still wondering if there was anything to hydroxychloroquine https://twitter.com/ZekeJMiller/status/1252633837357748225?s=20 by no means a perfect study but yeah The nationwide study was not a rigorous experiment. But with 368 patients, it’s the largest look so far of hydroxychloro...

Re: Who's Your Top Favorite Cubs from Your Lifetime?

Maddux is number 1 by a mile. From the Hendry era obviously Lee and Ramirez are tops. Prior and Wood too. Rich Harden weirdly stands out as well, his second half of 2008 was just the coolest. From this era probably Willson, Javy, Dex, and Hendricks. Yu's probably my favorite right at this moment, b...

Has Wisconsin (specifically Milwaukee area) seen a spike in the rate of cases that would be abnormal to the rate/curve they were already on since last Tuesday when they were forced to stay open for in person voting and you had a lot of people interacting and around each other that otherwise wouldn’...

Re: Jordan/Bulls Doc Release Pushed Up To April 19th

michael has come off as surprisingly likeable so far, outside of not having pippen's back when he was holding out also it was kind of weird for reinsdorf to talk about how he thought it was a bad contract for scottie to sign he said that back then (that he advised scottie not to sign such a long te...

Saw an image from a protest in California of a dude with a giant sign that said "COVID-19 IS A LIE" and yet he was covered head to toe in PPE which kind of defeats the message, though his PPE did have INFOWARS.COM written on it. Also, this might sound cold-hearted, but if these dumb idiot...

Re: On Bended Knee - The Rizzo Thread

I mean if we're going off this past season, and we anticipate some big hitters to carry over and not lose a step then Muncy and Alonso have to be considered top 1B, but if we're going off of longevity and consistent success at the position I think it's Goldschmidt, Freeman, Rizzo, in that order. I ...

I'm not sure if it's a widespread thing or just the Jewell I go to, but they are not allowed to bag groceries into a reusable grocery bag that you bring in. Either you bag it yourself or use their bags. How is touching my bag that I've touched any different that touching all the groceries that I to...
