Re: New Wrigley Nomz (Food Porn)

The thread where Careless is one of the voices of reason is interesting indeed.

I do generally throw out the term "wine drunk," but it's definitely a mode of how I'm drinking it over the actual BAC I am experiencing vs a different alcohol.

Re: NFL Mock Draft

Looks like Lawson closed it out with a convincing win. Bears select Shaq Lawson, OLB/DE -Clemson I'm in Mexico the next five days. Jersey, can you keep this moving? Looks like we don't have a taker for the Saints, so need another poll. A'Shawn Robinson is one name for the poll. Probably any defender.

Re: Politics & Current Events

Also, the board might love this. They just saved, what $10M without the threat of a long term strike? They just got their 4th furlough day!

Re: Politics & Current Events

*Shruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug* I'm not going to begrudge them for striking, and certainly not because there's dicks running the city and state. If people don't like it, hey, they can go sit on a badger. The teachers are in a [expletive] state in Chicago and there's basically nowhere left to turn. If the...

Re: Politics & Current Events

For whatever it's worth, one teacher I talked to said they basically would give into the rest if they could limit classroom sizes. If true, I hope the board just gives in. That actually is better for the kids! Still don't think this walk out was the right course of action by the union. Was this fro...

Re: Politics & Current Events

Gotta protest with what you have. It's not like they can shut down utilities or public transit or anything; shutting down school is what they have the most control over. I don't know- at this point they basically need voter support from an entire state to get the pressure needed to fund cps. Not su...

Yeah, one of the most common complaints against striking or protests being that it's inconvenient for other people never fails to be one of the whoosh-iest missing the point-reactions ever. The goal is to get people to notice, and doing it when it's most convenient for everyone doesn't really accom...

I'd really like one too unfortunately I think for the foreseeable future I'm relegated to whatever is the cheaper of the two family cars and the main one, if we're gonna spend that much will be a crossover. Now if Tesla had just released a wagon for that price I'd be fighting for that to be the next...

Re: Technology Chit-Chat

Yea. Looks like they learned a lesson with the model X and just made a straightforward cool car, just happens to be electric. Fyi- you won't likely get the full 7.5k rebate by the time you can actually get your hands on one. If your state has rebates you might still get a sweet deal. Actually even w...

S Omar Bolden from, you guessed it, Denver, agrees to deal.

Primarily a ST player. Good kick returner.

Re: The Bears offseason

I guess they are also signing another interior swing guy, Ted Larsen, from Arizona. 86 games with 57 starts at all 3 spots in 6 seasons. IF Grasu is still in the plans, they are certainly making sure he isn't forced into action again this year. Or he is Paces first bust. ETA- Interior line looks st...

Basically. The House looks out of reach for Dems in the near and far term. The Senate could flip for two short years before it flips right back.

Re: The Bears are on the Clock

I'll be honest I don't really know much about draft prospects. Are there several good choices at 11 or is there any chance it would make sense to explore moving down to later in the first round? I'm not sure things are so dire. While the pack around here is a little closer, I think you're best goin...

Re: The Bears offseason

Bears sign a guy named Manny Ramirez. Presumably not the baseball player.

Surprise, a history with Fox, but most recently with Detroit. Has played G and C, so sounds like a Montgomery replacement and the interior swing guy we needed.

Haha whoops, thought you were talking about a trade down at first. Fixed.

Honestly not sure what I'd do at this spot. I like about half these picks.
