Re: Guess what an idiot with a gun did this time

just watched an episode of Dark Net on Showtime and this guy invented a 3d printed gun. Untraceable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IylGx-48TUI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUxBX8CHURw this is an absolute nightmare. http://www.vocativ.com/news/295936/3d-printed-gun-dark-net/ Pretty sure I read/...

Re: All Things Spring Training 2016 (except games)

brandon wants to take over kyle's role as the class contrarian I was just catching up on this thread and was gonna say that Almora is either super slow or he Edmondsed the hell out of that catch linked earlier. Almora isn't very speedy. Iirc pretty much every scouting service talked about how his i...

Re: Kyle Schwarber....lead off hitter?

Apparently Jed said on 670 today that they're contemplating the idea of making Schwarber the personal catcher for one of the pitchers. My guess would be Hammel...based only on the fact that I think he caught him the other day and Hammel seemed to make a point of saying good things about it. https:/...

I'll try to get that done this weekend.

 Whoa. I was kinda joking (not that I won't donate - I'm probably due) but that's awesome.

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

I was always baffled at how often the escalators at Howard were shut down due to being completely befouled. Even on their best days they reeked of piss and [expletive]. I'm assuming it's because escalators are harder to clean, but I'm more perplexed by the people doing it in the first place. Chalk ...

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

I don't start until 10 AM, fortunately, but I gave myself an extra 20-25 minutes and still ended up about 5 minutes late. Not too bad on my route, but man, there were a TON of accidents being reported. It's ridiculous how poorly the train system is run here. I think you guys use the same system as ...

Re: General Baseball Chit-Chat Thread

I don't necessarily fault the White Sox here, but any day the White Sox and Cardinals look like bad guys in the media is a good day. I don't see the White Sox looking like bad guys at all. I see LaRoche looking like a kinda crappy parent, though. an overly attached parent. If the kid was there ever...

Re: General Baseball Chit-Chat Thread

What a odd story, the comments from Williams that Rosenthal has seems like he/the team made a reasonable request. They just asked LaRoche to not bring his kid 100% of the time but he was still allowed a good chunk of it. These guys go 3 weeks at a time without seeing their families, I fail to see h...

Home schooling?

apparently they pull him out of school for weeks at a time and load up on homework, but goes back home when the team is on the road.

Seems like a really good setup for him.

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

It is completely amazing. Instead of sitting around with nothing to do all day, I can dump my kid off half the time and have a life. I have to watch my sister's kids half the time to make up for it, but totally worth it. Best thing I've done so far is take hockey skating lessons. Hoping to join an ...

I don't really care if it's sunny when I'm on my way to work. I want more time to play afterwards.

Re: Projecting the 2016 Cubs

The Cubs added like 15 wins worth of players this offseason. That will balance out the plexiglass and pythagoras and stuff they were due to give back. Yep. If we take basically the same roster as 2015 into this year, then we are exemplary of the plexiglass principle: Big jump in wins, thanks, in la...
