Reportedly he tried to get on last year but failed a physical.

I think he'll have a harder time concaeling his identity than Gary Hogeboom had a few years ago.

Psych was ok, not their best effort for sure. The Star Trek memorabilia was pretty good, however, and Freddie Prinze's wife was incredibly hot.

Louis C.K. going off on the 'talker' was [expletive] fantastic.

I thought it was the best episode since the homage to Friday 13th. I'd also love to see Freddie Prinze Jr. as a recurring character. I don't like his dad working for the cops, I wonder if they are wedging out the chief, she hasn't been in any eps. this season.

I also liked the crap list and searching Lassie's browser history.

I haven't seen it yet, but I still think its funny that now pretty much the entire cast of She's All That has been on the show.

Lassie's browser history was quite good. I actually like Corbin Bernsen getting more screen time, though I could see him rejecting Shawn and Gus every episode getting kind of old.

Memphis Beat is just a truly terrible show. I wanted to like it and tried to like it, I just couldn't. The writing and acting are just plain awful.

Haven't paid attention to this thread recently. Anyone watch The Good Guys? Pretty funny show.

The new Futuramas seem to be focused more on striking emotional cords than being funny. It's made them much less enjoyable.

Anybody else feel that way or am I off here?

I totally disagree. I wasn't that big on the first couple because they seemed to just be going for cheap gag after cheap gag (God, that Apple parody one was wretched). Now that they've started making some them a little more "emotional" I'm enjoying them a lot more like when it was first on. I especially liked tonight's episode. Good combination of the heartfelt stuff they can pull off so well along with the breakneck pace sci-fi insanity.

For those that care about such things, Ellen Degeneres backed out of American Idol, saying "She didn't feel it was the right fit." Rumors have been for a while that Nigel Lithgoe, who's returning to Idol this season, wanted to replace the entire panel. Ellen had a 5 year deal and Randy Jackson still has one year left. We'll see what happens there.

Apparently Jennifer Lopez is close to signing as a judge on Idol.

That's actually a really solid choice.

I don't watch the show, but it seems to me the whole point of it is having people actually be critical of performances. I don't see how some diva like JLo can be counted on to judge anything.

The originals seemed to have more of a quality mix. Some were the heartfelt stuff (the bee episode, walking on sunshine, etc) and some were more of the pure humor variety (Lurr's love horn, Bender getting mixed up with the robot mafia, etc). It seems now, however, that it's leaning heavily toward the "emotional" heartfelt side.

I don't know, maybe I'm just being overly critical or something.

Well that was the problem with Ellen, and why she didn't like being a judge according to her statement. She didn't like having to be critical, and sometimes mean to the contestants.

It's hard to say what J-Lo's judging ability would be, but after Ellen, I'd have to think that it was foremost in their mind to get someone that can actually give criticism.

What about last night? That was right along the lines of "Time Keeps on Skipping," where most of the episode was just sci-fi insanity with only a little tweek on the heart strings at the end.

It actually seemed like one of the most emotional of the new episodes. Most of it was about how terrible it was that Fry was standing up Leela again and how Leela missed Fry. The different stops in the time machine were pretty good, though.
