You gotta pay big bucks to use Photobucket now, unfortunately.

I did a double-take at that, too, but I'm pretty sure it's a six with a flaw in the carving.

Looks like the rings the Hawks gave out on their giveaway nights. Yours looks like its worth the $13 but that 2015 thing is wierd

It looks like some manufacturer misprint that got sold to some wholesaler at pennies on the dollar. Outside of the typo it seems the same as the replicas they were selling for several times as much, right?

Yup they probably bought 100s of rings for like 50 cents a piece, it costs them $3 to ship so they are making like $10 on each ring.

Printing error aside that's still a fun little memento to have on display.

Couldn't be too difficult to have that "fixed" to 2016 though.

Seeing this thread made me realize that I have a really cool story to share. I've been a member of this board for a long time, but I don't post, or even visit much any more. That's especially true during the baseball season, since I often watch games on a one day delay via MLB.tv

Anyway, I live near Eugene, Oregon, home of the awesome Eugene Emeralds. Last August after a game, as we were leaving PK Park, an unassuming gentleman in an Em's jersey stopped us and said, "Check this out..." At first I thought he was going to try to sell us something. Instead, he took off a very large Cubs World Series ring and handed it to us. He let us pass it around, wear it, take photos of it, and generally oh and ah over it for a few minutes. The man was Allan Benavides, GM for the Emeralds, and he told us that he's always on the lookout for people decked out in Cubs' gear to share the ring with. Here are a few photos. If I'd know there would be photos of my hand, I would have lotioned up first, so they weren't all ashy:

Not as cool as that ring above... but I bought one of those rings gobigred posted about and it had the correct year engraved on mine. Mine was the Rizzo edition of it. Seems like it's exactly the same as the replica rings that were selling for much more, but what do I know?

What's funny is that when I first saw the ring, I thought it was one of those replicas, and the guy was trying to hawk them. It wasn't until I felt the heft, and got to look at the gems did I realize it was the genuine article.
