2.) that was fun watching Lindor get owned but I still want him to come here somehow
3.) MAN ROSS IS A STUD
4.) It's going to be weird watching regular season baseball at wrigley when my last memories of baseball were the playoffs. just listening to the crowd in those videos gives me goosebumps

My stomach begins to churn watching those videos. What an incredible postseason. I want to do it again plz

#23: A Game of Inches

Why on the list? - Safe or out? Really close, and unfortunate that it went against the Cubs, because the very next pitch:

Another solid defensive play, this time by Soler, but if the call goes the other way, they're out of the inning, and that's the only run that scored. Instead, the Cubs needed yet another solid defensive play to get out of it:

Maybe a makeup call, but not quite equal, considering the run scored. Amazing that this game, with the wind blowing out 20 MPH, there were no real hard hit balls on either side, with the Cubs' best chance at scoring being thanks solely to the wind:

Just a weird game all around kept close by another solid Hendricks outing (4 1/3 IP, no runs), and some fantastic relief pitching in tight spots (particularly Grimm, who came in with the bases loaded and 1 out to induce a DP, and he did, making it the only DP he induced all season), and some fantastic defense, yet again.

#22: Rizzo, Fowler Show that Kluber and Miller Aren't Invincible

Why on the list? - Kluber and Miller shut down the Cubs in game 1. Miller shut down the Cubs in game 4, and hadn't allowed a run all postseason. However, in game 4, the Cubs broke through first as Fowler lead off with a double, and then Rizzo followed two batters later with a single. Cub pitching this day was not good, but the Indians brought in Miller anyway and Fowler solved him with a HR.

In reality, the game wasn't as lopsided as the score indicated, as two balls hit with identical lift and velocity had some different results. Kipnis's was helped by the wind over the fence, and Rizzo's was pushed back by the wind for a double.

MLB has started chopping up their Youtube highlights (literally, like in the last few days, these highlights were full highlights before) and linking in the video to the full highlight on MLB.com. If I could embed those videos, that would be neat.

n the plus side, 21 highlights remain, 11 days to opening day and 22 is the last highlight for a game that the Cubs did not win.

#21: Arrieta Goes God-Mode in Game 2

Why on the list? - After a disappointing Game 1 start to finish, Arrieta came out in game 2 and shut down the Indians into the 6th, by which time the Cubs had the game well in hand. Considering how much trouble the Cubs had scoring early in the series, Arrieta arguably saved the series for the Cubs here.

#20: Schwarber Not As Slow As He Lets On

Why on the list? - It was more than amazing that Schwarber could even hit in this series. But here, Schwarber shows the knee is healthier than the Indians assume, beating out an infield hit, then taking second without a throw when Kluber doesn't bother to throw over. He finished the series with as many stolen bases as Lindor.

He did only pitch 11 innings in the series, but he was pretty damn good. I think if he came on in relief in game 7 and shut the Indians down to win the WS, he probably would have.

For all of the people complaining about the bullpen choices in Game 7, not seeing Jake is the one that actually bugged me. The Indians didn't seem to have an answer for him, and I really just wanted to save Chapman for the 9th; it seemed perfectly set up to bring him in. Maybe he wasn't feeling it or didn't look right when warming up (if he warmed up at all), but yeah, even before things went wrong I was wondering aloud why Jake wasn't ready or coming in.

If the Cubs won game 7 like 6-1 or something like that, the 5th inning and 8th inning blowups don't occur. Does Zobrist still get MVP?

Of course not. I think it should have gone to Arrieta, Hendricks, or Rizzo.

I'm pretty sure he did warm up at some point, I remember seeing them showing him throwing in the bullpen but I may be remembering wrong.

#19: Chapman and Defense Shut Down Indians in Game 5

Why on the list? - The crowd was tense, in a one run game in the 7th, down in the series 3-1. Maddon went to Chapman in the 7th, not about to let the Indians tie the game without using his best reliever. And Chapman was great in this game, with a bit of defensive help. He got through 2 2/3 innings, and that tying run never crossed the plate (thanks partially to that stop by Contreras in the 7th).

Of course, there was some additional defensive help earlier in the game, particularly from Heyward on this anti-Bartman grab against the wall:

There were also some popup adventures between Ross and Rizzo earlier in the game:
