Ah, yes, that rings a bell now. I think I've voided all but Sammy, Kerry, and Brant Brown's dropped fly ball from that era of the Cubs out of my brain. Or I drank too much in college.

I believe Theriot was the most loved player on the team for a couple years.

The amount of Theriot apparel I still see at games is obscene, and is one of the better arguments that this team deserves bad things to happen to it.

Boy, Hollandsworth played a LOT less for the Cubs than I remember being furious over.

It sucks that Theriot was such a grubby little turd and his fan base much worse, because his name is literally The Riot which is awesome. I hope Javier Baez is Spanish for something half that cool.

I seem to recall that NSBB was pretty split over Theriot for a while. Plenty of people thought he was a raging goober (that's good), but a surprising number wanted him to keep getting playing time (that's bad). And even the former didn't do themselves any favors by tending to be initially wanting Ronny Cedeno instead of Theriot (that's really bad).

I wasn’t a big Theriot fan, but I was pretty proud of my fantasy team name: TheRiot on the Red Line.

I actively hated Hundley and Estes other than that I can’t really think of a player I passionately despised. Rusch and Marquis I kinda knew what they were and other common targets were on bad teams so they were just bad players on bad teams. I think I kinda disliked Julian Tavares but I have no idea why

I think I hated Antonio alfonseca but I’m not 100% sure.

I absolutely disliked Sergio mitre. At least as a pitcher.

Hollandsworth was a butcher but at the time when nobody wanted to clog the bases I felt his bat was welcome to the lineup

I remember not liking AA up until he chestbelly bumped that ump that called Alou's double foul against the Cards.

Ironically, apparently that ump is now the head of the instant replay umps.

AA tossed me a ball during warm ups once so he's the greatest Cub of all time imo

Milton Bradley threw me one between innings. Then some drunk horsefeathers was yelling at me to give it to a kid. We were in the bleachers. I scanned all over and didn't see a kid anywhere but he continued to talk horsefeathers until a security guard came to tell him to shut the horsefeathers up.
