Kris, either decide to curse to make a point/statement or say it normally.

The stupid thing about this superstardom Twitter debate is that it's conflating two entirely different things. Superstardom as a player, which Bryant clearly and unequivocally is, and superstardom as a celebrity/famous person (which I couldn't give two horsefeathers about).

It's entirely arguable that no baseball player is capable of that level of celebrity at this point in time. Baseball is still popular, but in a really regional way. Mike Trout isn't even a household name. He's well known among baseball fans, but outside that realm, ehhh. And I don't really care. That's a commentary on the state of baseball in terms of mainstream popularity and the way the country consumes it at this point. It's got just about nothing to do with Bryant or Trout or Harper.

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

Trout and Bryant are just boring dudes. Harper is a majestic, entertaining stallion.

With an incredible mane! Like a lion. But there's no denying Bryant's dreamy eyes!

Like a "Liorse"!

It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a horse mixed. Bred for its skills and magic.

Since his debut, the dude only trails Mike Trout in WAR, in all of baseball, pitchers included. He’s a monster, and a lot of people don’t appreciate just how [expletive] good he is.

tonight I had a conversation with several cubs fans about the Bryant superstar thing. their conclusion was that Passan and that other guy’s assessment was accurate, and the only currently active superstars in American sports are Lebron, Dwyane Wade, Tiger Woods, and maaaybe Steph Curry and Landon Donovan.

.......I disagree.

This is all Bill Simmons fault. Such a pointless arbitrary argument.

Saying Bryant isn’t a superstar got the attention they wanted. If they said he was nobody would’ve even known about their debate.

Brady was a hard no... not in enough commercials, not recognizable enough according to their own straw polls. Rodgers wasn’t mentioned.

Kobe, Shaq, ARod, and Peyton Manning are still superstars.

Yeah, that’s a bad opinion. All my coworkers who know nothing about sports know Brady.

I can't even think of a national commercial Wade is in and Rodgers has had one of the most famous athlete ad campaign in recent existence.
