Assuming it's not a career altering injury, KB getting hurt for a while will end up being a blessing in disguise. We would have totally traded Bote for a rental.

Not saying it will happen, but the Cubs coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the World Series does seem like the appropriate way to cap off this season and make the 30-for-30 even better.

I saw on Twitter he's using David Bowie, which is, no offense 1000x cooler.

It's been 16 years since I've felt this vibe about a ballplayer...
Mark Bellhorn touched my heart and made the Baylor/Kimm 02' Cubs watchable...
He defeated gladiators...

And single-handedly willed the Red Sox in '04 to defeat the hated cardinals when he hit a GW HR in Game 1 off of former Cub and Richard Speck look-a-like Julian Tavarez.

Without further buildup.... (Unless Cubbyrage/Members Only Jacket objects).
It's time for the hornywagon to be scrapped:
Rest in peace '78 Ford LTD...

The Cubs have upgraded and so has the Botewagon...

Ive never seen a player with 50 or ABs electrify a cubs fanbase as much as Bote since...Jim Edmonds maybe?

Does Fukudome's game tying homer on Opening Day count? Also had a .915 OPS in April that year.

Wasn't Neifi Perez pretty much Rogers Hornsby in his first 100 Cubs ABs?

Schwarber for sure.
The difference with Bote is that he's had zero hype whatsoever in the minors. Maybe some of the minor league forum nerds knew him, but most of us probably had little to know idea that he existed before these AB's.

I think the implication was limited playing time. But then Edmonds wasn’t a great example of that.
I think this is more of a Sam Fuld situation.
