I took the bonus once I saw a report that they committed to not raising any season ticket prices for next year. We sell most of our tickets and family/friends anyways, so if for some reason we really needed the cash the rest of this calendar year, could probably just get some people to pay in advance for 2021 tickets.

If the full season eventually follows suit, I'd be looking at around $400 of bonus credit. Free playoff game at some point.

I came up for season tickets this year and passed, when I originally signed up the rough math worked to me coming up 10 or so years from now when I could maybe make something work. But it just didn’t make sense right now for me. I live ~3 hours away and could maybe get to 12-15 games a year on an optimistic outlook and couldn’t find any friends/family to go in with that would take 15-20+ games. So all you horsefeathers who moved up can thank me for letting you move up 1 extra spot.

I'm at 4840 now, so given everything I'm guessing I'll come up this winter.

As a valued Season Ticket Holder, you have the option to receive a credit plus a 5% bonus or a refund for your tickets to Cubs home games originally scheduled to be played in March, April and May.

I'm sure they are hoping for people to accept the credit with a 5% bonus and then be essentially locked into Season Tickets for next year, but with all the uncertainty around the schedule this year (and possibly beyond) that would seem like an unwise choice for anyone to make.

If it’s still mostly disposable money for someone, 5% on your money isn’t the worst thing to be getting right now. Plus that credit.

I calculated that credit to be 20-25 bucks in my pocket for my nights and weekends 4 way split. I was outvoted in getting my money back.

I wasn't going to take it, but I went back and read through the FAQ and it says that you can still change your mind and request your money back later, but you will just lose the 5%. So unless you need the cash immediately, I guess it is better to take the credit now and re-evaluate at the end of the year.

It's cool that team is on the list, but going down 3 game to 1 in the World Series doesn't feel "dominant" to me

it's cool that you totally understand, after all these years on this particular board, that the relative dominance and/or quality of a baseball team can be boiled down to 4 games. it is clear that you have read and learned a lot on here and probably don't spend your time horsefeathers posting and skimming past all the discussions.

i'm the opposite. it always feels like a season or two ago to me, even though, say, the 2017 team, feels like a long ass time ago.

also, caught myself realizing this today, but the team that turned the corner in 2015...blows my mind that was 5 years ago.

We define "dominance" differently. That's ok, you don't have to be right all the time.
