General Cubs Chit-Chat
This is the megathread where people can generally talk about the Chicago Cubs. Some say it is the best thread to generally chit-chat Cubs baseball on the internet.

You know, I've given it some thought, and I've come to the conclusion that yeah, I like the Cubs more than any other baseball team.

When Schwarber wins the WS with a big fat dong and uses his bat to club to death every player on the other team and half their fans, I expect every one of these talking heads to defend him. -yanrslatr

So, if/when the Cubs make the World Series......who in the Chicagoland area is going to let me sleep on their couch for a week when I'm not camping out on Waveland Avenue?

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

I actually watched almost an entire spring training game without falling asleep. Cubs fever.

I only have one tattoo. Never regretted it. What would your (horrendous) non-Cubs choice be?

I don't think I would get one, but if I did it would be ; in a location not public. I like what that symbolizes.

Get your blood type tattooed on you somewhere in case you're badly injured somehow.

My brother and I have made a sort of pact about that. Neither of us will get a tattoo unless struck by lightning, we survive, and the lightning leaves Lichtenberg figures (fancy non-permanent 'scars'), in which case we get a tattoo of the pattern left by the lightning strike. Something like that ought be memorialized.

That is very specific.
Apropos of nothing, if anybody knows a woman named Carol they'd like to set me up with that'd be great.

The only thing I would get tattooed on me is this crazy Soundgarden Picasso-ish t-shirt I got at a concert.

Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat
So Trump's latest comments about the Cubs/Ricketts are basically an admission that he has no dirt on the Cubs and that he just talks (or tweets) out of his ass right?
TRUMP: Look, they are spending vicious … I don’t even know these people. Those Ricketts. I actually said they ought to focus on the Chicago Cubs and, you know, stop playing around. They spent millions of dollars fighting me in Florida. And out of 68 counties, I won 66. I won by 20 points, almost 20 points. Against, everybody thought he was a popular sitting senator. I had $38 million dollars spent on me in Florida over a short period of time. $38 million. And, you know, the Ricketts, I don’t even know these people.
HIATT: So, what does it mean, “They better watch out”?
TRUMP: Well, it means that I’ll start spending on them. I’ll start taking ads telling them all what a rotten job they’re doing with the Chicago Cubs. I mean, they are spending on me. I mean, so am I allowed to say that? I’ll start doing ads about their baseball team. That it’s not properly run or that they haven’t done a good job in the brokerage business lately.
