Kershaw is due for his back to go out any day now so that could really change things.

ETA, Javy somehow doesn't lead the category which I am forced to assume means he has taken too many singles 1st to home and dropped his ranking.

if you go by season to date stats, the odds should seem less wonky

the projections obviously didn't have the braves being very good

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

That’s a lot better. The AL still gets weighted way too much for WS odds though.

Aug. 23-26 series with Reds
Aug. 27-29 series with Mets, fly to Atlanta
Aug. 30 game in Atlanta, fly to Philly
Aug 31- Sep. 2, series in Philly, fly to Mil.
Sep. 3-5, series in Mil. fly to DC
Sep. 6-9 series in DC with 2 rain outs and a double header with rain delays, fly to Chicago
Sep. 10-12, series with Brewers, fly to Dc.

I wonder if they will have to go to D.C. to find out whether there will be a game or whether they could be notified ahead of time that the game is cancelled because of the weather. The forecast for Thursday is 100% chance of rain.

Well, that sucks. I thought he might have a chance to make it back this season.

Tropical storm force winds (up to 39 mph) are expected to possibly arrive around the conclusion of the game.

Does MLB really want two teams to fly out of all that after the game? Do they really want to take fans away from storm prep so they can attend?

Seems legit crazy to me.

It'd be crazybuckets if they didn't postpone it for all the obvious reasons, but I mostly want it postponed so the Cubs can get a friggin' day off

Another fun fact of the 30 in 30 the Cubs are going through the last game is an 8:40 start time, so they will probably be getting home on their off day at like 5:00 or 6:00 a.m.

Z was a 4.5 WAR a year pitcher for 8 years and then basically got drummed out of the league at age 31 for being a head case. I don’t know how Theo/Joe would have handled him differently, but I guarantee they would have handled him better.

Wasn't Theo the one that immediately dumped him after taking over with the Cubs?
